Hello everyone!
Today I have a fun family Christmas layout to share with all of you.
I chose these photos after picking my title piece; Twas the Night before Christmas title.
As I laid out my photos and papers I decided I wanted to have the Candy Cane border on this layout too, so I used it to help guide the sizing of papers and paper choices.
On all of my chipboard elements I used ink to color them. Then added some liquid pearls to make certain elements pop out. For this candy cane border I had done the “hearts” with the horizontal stripes and when I asked my 13 year old what he thought he suggested I outline the other “hearts”, so I did. It made it really fun and he loved the “shine”.
I used green ink on the word Christmas and then outlined it with the silver liquid pearls. I really love how it turned out. With the rest of the title I just used the red ink so those words wouldn’t draw attention away from my main elements.
Drying time for the liquid pearls was the longest part of this layout but it was so worth it. I really love the added shine they give my layout.
