Hello everyone! Jenn here sharing another grungy project! Today, I created a rusty, patina soaked, sea themed piece.
This began as a 5X7 chunky canvas that had a newsprint on it already. I covered the canvas with rice paper and several layers of inks and gesso. In the end, I thought I had ruined it when the gesso began to crinkle and ripple but then something magical happened! I used a scraper and removed some of the gesso and the result was amazing! I smeared some white crackle past and dried then added a patina ink spray.
Creative Embellishments Chipboards:
Circle Doodle Frames
Coral
Gear Set 4
Gears 1
Additional Supplies:
Various Ink Sprays (used Tim Holtz and Lindy’s)
Tim Holtz Distress Paint
Rice Paper
Stamps
Black Ink Pad
White Crackle Paste
Image from Stamperia Paper “Mechanical Sea World”
Tim Holtz Word Plaque
I wanted a bit more rust so I added spritzes of water and a rusty ink spray next.
My chippies were altered using gesso and ink sprays.
I added some random stamping here and there and then built my composition.
Thanks So Much For Visiting and Viewing My Project!!
Have an amazing crafty day!!
