Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing a fun shaker topped box project with you all!

For this project, I decided to go with “pretty” with just that little bit of grunge by combining a patina altered shaker circle and bright florals!

Creative Embellishments Products Used:
5-inch Circle Shaker

Purple Plant

Additional products used:

Distress Oxides
Acrylic Paint
Washi Tapes
Shaker Bits
Tim Holtz Sentiment
Florals
Round Box with lid
Decorative papers
White Gesso
Distress Mica Spray

To create my box, I started by painting the entire outside in an acrylic Robin’s Egg blue color. I added paper to the top and inside as well as washi pinstriping around the top and bottom of the box.
**Tip** add adhesive or collage medium to washi tape application for a better hold.**

Next, I assembled the shaker circle. For mine I cut two additional hollow circles from a lightweight chipboard sheet to make it a bit thicker. Decorative paper was added to the back, followed by the hollow circles. I then added my shaker bits and the acetate piece. I altered my shaker frame by applying gesso and an array of Distress Oxides. This was adhered to the shaker. Next I assembled the florals and purple flower chipboard pieces. These were altered using white embossing powder and a spritz of Distress Mica Spray.

Thanks so much for visiting the blog and viewing my project today!
Have an amazing crafty day!
