Welcome back to another monthly challenge. This month it is all about glitter. I have had this idea in my head about this project for a while, I had gotten these clear bulbs a few years ago and finally sat down and just made them. The trick was to get the Winter ATC to fit in the centre. I brought some clear acetate with me down to Maggi’s and decided to paint each of the ATC’s. Once painted I cut the acetate to sandwich the ATC within each of the bulbs. Seeing the twist was Glitter this month, I added the Blue Frosted Acrylic Snowflakes and the Small Silver Glitter Acrylic Stars and lots of other glitter and gems. I then sealed each side of the bulb and covered it with a festive winter ribbon.

Here is a short video I took While at Maggi’s.

Wow! December already! where did the year go?! This month’s challenge has a gorgeous photo and the twist is to use bling. I was inspired by the colors and tree. I painted the Ornament Frames with gold acrylic paint and tucked in some Basic Grey papers from my stash along with the Star Trees. I colored the trees with acrylic paint and a few different colors of Lindy’s mists. I added the words “Joy”, “Noel” and “Gifts” from the Christmas Sentiments. I added some Tim Holtz word phrases and some bling from my stash. I created a little cluster at the bottom of my page. I added a wood veneer Tree to it that I painted gold as well. Check out my blog to see close ups and how I created this page: https://lisasscrappyhideaway.blogspot.com I am looking forward to seeing your take on the challenge!

I can’t believe that I am saying “Welcome to December” but nonetheless, I sure am! This month’s CE Challenge features a gorgeous inspiration photo featuring lots of pink amongst a welcoming Christmas tree scene. So, I chose a vintage Christmas photo of some of my cousins and I many years ago. Maybe it was the memories but I sure enjoyed doing this one! For the bling twist, I’ve used some Stickles on the centers of my poinsettias. My chipboard pieces were altered with white paint and Distress Oxides. Papers and extra elements are Prima Santa Baby. Here are the CE products used on my layout: Distressed PunchinellaBerry Frame 4Poinsettia SetCousins are friends …Small Stars Stencil. I hope you enjoy playing along as much as I did!

Wow!  I can’t believe it’s December…the year flew by!  I have so much to be grateful for this year…mostly family and health!  I have been blessed to have my family move back and are now close by and I get to see them all the time!  This challenge is one of my favorites!  The non traditional colors and the bling as the added twist!  This card set features the Christmas Holly Wreath.  To alter the wreath I used Raspberry Tinsel Embossing Powder and Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. I layered the chipboard pieces on patterned paper and the popped it up on gold glitter cardstock.  To finish this off I added some cream colored Poinsettias from my stash and added an embossed stamped sentiment to the center of the wreath.

Hope you join us in this fun challenge!

Last challenge of the year, wow!  This one was really fun for me as I had the perfect paper and an idea!  I made this card for the wonderful gal that grooms my poodles.  They love her so much and delight in going in to have their “hair done”!  She is crazy about my girls and always makes them so pretty! For the twist I used glittery embossing enamel on the Merry Christmas words that come from the Merry Christmas Titles set.  That set is great as it includes 5 title sets each in a different font that are perfectly sized for card making.   I hope you’ll join in our challenge!

“All of the Lights” with Jess Larios

Hello there my fellow CE friends! Welcome back to the blog! I hope you are ready for some holiday inspiration! The team has some amazing creations in store for us this month. I can’t wait, for now, let’s create a layout with some beautifully cut chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments. I altered all my chipboard pieces using acrylic paint. I wanted each of them to stand out on their own so I kept it simple.
The inspiration photo is so beautiful. It inspired me to use that feathery ribbon but to also create with unusual Christmas colors too. I like the unusual, the different, the odd, the weird, and a pinch of crazy too. I really had a lot of fun making this layout! There is so much going on here. Of course, we can’t forget about the twist which is to add some sparkle or bling. No project is finished without a bit of sparkle, right?! I added some white glass glitter. What I didn’t expect was it to provide a snow effect, and it does! Super double awesome stuff we find when we’re playing. I hope you are inspired to join in on the fun with us this month. We look forward to seeing what you create!

Hi everyone and welcome to the December Challenge.   We’ve got a beautiful photo inspired challenge this month and the twist to add some bling or something sparkly. I was inspired by the colors and the garland. I painted the Pine Needle Frame white and added some silver glitter and Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Enamel. Berry branches from the Poinsettia Set and bells from Jingle Bells were painted white and sprinkled with silver glitter.  Poinsettias from the Poinsettia Set were painted white and sprinkled with white glitter.  I hope you’ll join us this month.  Can’t wait to see what you create!

Gold Glitter Chipboard Window Tag with Sequin Shaker and Mirrored Acrylic Stars
Hi friends! I had a lot of fun with this challenge! I was definitely inspired by the add bling twist and created a super sparkly shaker tag using the Flourish Tag Set 3 as the base. I covered the bottom of the tag with pink patterned paper and then added a snowflake pattern using the Snowflake Stencil and pink Distress Oxide Ink. I applied a double layer of 3D foam strips around the edge of the bottom tag and then added star sequins and glass gems to the center of the tag before sealing the loose embellishments with a piece of clear acetate. I embossed the top layer of the tag with gold Ice Resin Iced Enamels and then glued on designs from the Chipboard Snowflakes and Large Snowflakes Set, that I painted with white spray paint and Stickles, and Rose Gold Mirrored Acrylic Stars. I applied a clear sticker, sentiment, and ribbons to the tag to finish this piece. I’m planning on using this sparkly tag as a gift topper, most likely on a gift to myself because this tag is just too pretty to part with! I’m looking forward to seeing all the entries this month!

Sometimes simple and elegant is perfect!  The tree inspired me to create this layout using the white acrylic snowflakes, stars in my universe frame, and the Merry & Bright title
I hope to see your creations inspired by the beautiful image!
