Hello crafty friends! Tracy here and today I have a fun little shaker card to share. I must be on a unicorn kick, as this would go beautifully with the I Believe in Unicorns layout I created earlier this month. Here are all of the details.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:
Other Products Used:
Simple Stories- Magical Birthday Collection (6×8 paper pad, bits & pieces)
Spiegelmom Scraps Sequins Mix- I Love You More
DecoArt- Acrylic Paint- White
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (Thin 3D Foam Squares, Dual Tip Glue Pen, Creative Photo Corners- White, E-Z Runner Grand, Adhesive Dots Large)
I started this process by covering all of the chipboard pieces of this set using white paint and a foam stencil brush. This allows the etched parts of the chipboard base to remain that darker colour for detail. Then I covered the unicorn horn using a good layer of gold Stickles. Let the pieces dry completely.
I created a simple layered background for my 5×7 card using patterned paper and white cardstock. I added the top patterned layer using white photo corners. I added the die cuts images and sentiment using Thin 3D Foam Squares.
Start to assemble the shaker piece using liquid adhesive. Adhere the top piece to the acrylic piece. Adhere the bottom 3 pieces together. Let everything dry. Add the sequins mix to the shaker and attach the top piece. Again let dry completely before doing any shaking.
I added the shaker to the right hand side of the card using large adhesive dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
