Hello crafty friends. Jennifer Snyder here with some colorful shaker cards made by transforming Creative Embellishments chipboard Dream Catcher pieces into shakers.

The dreamcatcher is a protective talisman that is used to protect people from nightmares and bad dreams. The charm was usually used for young children and hung above their cradles or beds. My youngest son used to love to sleep with his dreamcatcher over his bed.

Here are the images of the chipboard pieces used today: Creative Embellishments Dream Catcher 1 – chipboard and Creative Embellishments ATC Coin Rings with acrylic sheets

The Dream Catcher chipboard pieces were quite easy to turn into shakers because the chipboard ATC rings fit perfectly.

I painted all the pieces with acrylic paint, then inked the feathers with various Distress Inks to match the paper.  Once dry, I assembled the layers of the shaker and filled with shaker mix from Buttons Galore.

The first card has the dream catcher as the top layer over the rings.  I added foam under the feathers to provide extra support for the chipboard pieces.

Here is the second card.  The dream catcher is the base layer lying flat on the paper.  No need for foam supports.  The ATC rings layers are added on top.  This card was filled with Doo Dadz mix from Buttons Galore.

The feathers are also accented with Doo Dadz.

May you have wonderful, colorful dreams.

Thanks for stopping here today.  Happy crafting.
