Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a pretty little shaker card to share.
We’re just heading into the winter months, but already I’m craving blooming flowers in the yard. So I just went for it and created a card using both. It’s 2021, just go for it! Here are all of the details.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:
Snowflake Shaker Set Sentiments Set
Other Products Used:
White Cardstock, Emerald Creek Crafts Embossing Powder (Soft Fallen Snow), DecoArt Acrylic Paint- White, Art Glitter- Gala Glitz White, Wood Grain Patterned Paper, Distress Embossing Glaze- Hickory Smoke, Prima Flowers, Pink Thread, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (Crafty Foam Tape, Creative Photo Corners White, Adhesive Dots Large, Adhesive Dots Micro, Dual Tip Glue Pen, E-Z Runner Ultra)
I started by covering the top snowflake shaker piece using Soft Fallen Snow embossing powder, it’s a white embossing powder with glitter in it. Perfect for snowflakes. Then I covered the other chipboard sections of the shaker using white acrylic paint. Let dry completely. Assemble the bottom bits of the shaker using liquid adhesive. Then adhere the top piece to the acrylic piece. Make sure these are completely dry before adding the shaker goodies. Fill the shaker with the Gala Glitz bits, and adhere the top piece to the bttom section. Let dry.
Cover the sentiment with grey embossing glaze. Then add to the top of the shaker.
Create the 5×5 card base from white cardstock. Cut another layer of white cardstock to 4.75×4.75, and the patterned paper to 4.5×4.5. Adhere the wood grain pattern to the white cardstock mat using white photo corners. Then add it to the card base using foam tape. Add the shaker to the front of the card using adhesive dots.
Add thread and flowers to either side of the snowflake shaker.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
