Happy New Year! I was inspired by the lacy fringe in the table cloth and created a fringe Christmas tree. I used Twas The Night Before Christmas piece as my title and colored it with inks. I also added in a piece of the Lace Border 7 on the bottom of my photo and colored that with the same inks. Finally, I added 3 wood veneer Hearts, placing one on the top of my tree. I am excited to see your take on the mood board this month. Stop by my blog to see how I created that fabulous tree: https://lisasscrappyhideaway.blogspot.com/ Here’s to a happy and healthy 2021!

Hello all, welcome to 2021, I welcome the new year of new beginnings, new plans and lots of creativity. I am greatful for the new year to come. I would love to share my project based off of the new challenge this month. The twist is to add lace or material. I had this huge applicae lace piece I have been wanted to use and this page was going to be the project to use it on. I started with the background, started with some stamping with the distress text stamp and the distress patterned stencil. I split up the paper and used the Greek key patterns stencil on the other half. Using the sunflower boarder and corner pieces. I painted with spray and filled them into the composition. I finished the project off with the best friends boarder chipboard.

I made a short video of the cprocess. I hope you enjoy

Hello, there all my fellow CE fans! I would like to take this time to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Let’s hope 2021 is better for us all. I am starting this year with a warm vintage feels canvas. Doesn’t the gorgeous photograph of a holiday-themed gathering place make you feel cozy inside? The inspiration photo this month made me think of family. So I started going through old photos and found this one of my mother-in-law when she was a little girl. I thought it would be a perfect tribute to her. The photograph also gave me the inspiration for my color palette and some of the embellishments I chose to use. Like the Ornate Mini Borders, Mini Ornate Flourishes, and the Simple Ornate chipboard pieces. I altered these using acrylic paint and some gold wax. They add so much character and depth to this canvas. The Heritage chipboard piece I altered using some metallic pearl acrylic paint and distress ink to give it a grungier appearance. The twist this month is to add lace. Can you see how I added lace? Let’s get this new year to a great creative start! We look forward to seeing your creations this month.

New Year – New Challenge!
I loved the feel of the photo inspiration!  I went with a shabby kind of feel but still Christmas with my Deer head and used a lacy poinsettia rather than traditional lace!

Hi everyone! Happy New Year and welcome to our January 2021 Challenge!  I’m thrilled to be back for another term as a designer for Creative Embellishments.  I was inspired by the trees and view from the window.  I used the following chipboard pieces, Ornament FramesAntlersJingle BellsMini Berry Wreaths and Berries.  All chipboard was treated with various colors of embossing powders and Lindy’s sprays.  I hope you’ll join us this month.  Can’t wait to see what you create

Hello crafty friends! Can you believe it?!? We made it to 2021! A new year, a new month and a new fun challenge. Here is what I created based on the January 2021 challenge.

Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:

Large Clock Face 6″           A Moment in Time           Filigree Trees

To treat my chipboard I simply covered the title and the tree using gold embossing powder. Then added some pearls to the tree for a little extra detail. Then I left the clock all natural! I wanted to pick up those natural kraft coloured tones in the layout. For all of the fun details, you can pop on over to my blog HERE.

Hello friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share my shaker cards crafted for the January 2021 Creative Embellishments Challenge.  New month, new year and new excitement in the air.  I was inspired by the combo of antique white and gold in the challenge image.

I used the Love Shaker set and Double Heart Shaker. The chipboard was heat embossed using vintage ivory embossing power.

Basic Grey Non-Traditional Back-to-School Scrapbook Layout with Chipboard, Stencils, and Stamps from Creative Embellishments

The first design element to catch my eye was the caning on the back of the chairs. I included a piece of that and also followed the color palette from the photo, neutrals with pops of reds, greens, and gold. I’ve had this non-traditional school photo of my niece for years and this challenge gave me the inspiration I needed to get it scrapped. The base patterned paper had several cursive letter designs mixed into the print. I decided to play up this element by adding more numbers and letters using the Cursive Alphabet Stamp and the Number Border Stamp with black ink. I spread molding paste over the Typewriter Keys Stencil to add a second layer letters. I trimmed the edges from the Lacy Border Chipboard, colored them with red mist, and secured the decorative pieces to two corners of the page. I added the Distressed Punchinella Chipboard, painted with bright yellow acrylic paint, under the photo. I thought it was similar in shape to the piece of caning I used. I painted a pair of Autumn Leaves Wood Veneer a bright green and topped it with a burgundy flower. For the twist element, I added a piece of neutral lace.
