Happy New Year my dear, dear friends!!! I am so glad to say GOODBYE 2020!!!! I also have some news to share today. I have decided to take some time and step down from doing design work. This was a hard decision. Nicolle is a very special person and her company and product are the best to work with, but I have been designing for about 8 – 9 years now, and I really need a break. I have had some health issues that have prevented me at times from following through with my DT responsibilities, which isn’t fair to this fantastic company. I have been designing for Nicolle for 2 1/2 years now and every month has been a joy. So, this layout is all about saying goodbye for now, cause I will be back. This picture is not my favorite, but the best I have now. I really am having a bickering session with the hubby as I do not like to have my pic taken. I did television for a number of years, and the camera does not lie.
I used the “Winterland” paper collection from Mintay. This particular design image is my favorite of the snow globe. I am part Scandinavian descent, both Swedish and Norwegian. My maiden was Holmstrom. My grandfather was from Norbotten, Sweden, but I did not know him. The sweater I am wearing is made in Norway and is one of my favorites around the Holidays!! I started with one of my go to chipboards Snowflake Frame #3 which I inked with a light blue chalk ink and then added Nuvo Glitter Drops on the snowflake in the center and on the separate snowflakes. Please see the photos below. The Crystal Drops are also used which dry to a hard shell. They turned out gorgeous. I took several photos and I hope you enjoy.
I used a silver leafy stem to circle the globe to resemble the eucalyptus which is printed on the image. I think it turned out pretty. Here’s another closeup of the bottom of the layout. The silver wreath is a older Tim Holtz piece.
My signature closing has always been that I am sending out a Big Alaskan Bear Hug to Everyone!! Happy New Year and may 2021 be a better year for everyone!! To Nicolle and Creative Embellishments.
