Sometimes I love a good clean and simple layout with fun bold patterns. I wanted the chipboard to be bold and stand out, so I chose to cover them with embossing powder. Depending on the powder, sometimes I will do 2 layers of embossing powder to get a good enamel look. I covered both frames with black embossing powder and “happy” with white embossing powder.
Create a simple layered background using the black polka dot patterned paper, white and pink cardstock. Then add a strip of the black and white floral up the right hand side of the layout. Cut and add a 1″ strip of light pink patterned paper on top of the black and white floral.
Mat the large frame in green patterned paper. Adhere the layers together using Adhesive Dots Micro. Mat the small frame with pink patterned paper. Add the green patterned square to the right hand side of the layout using foam tape. Mat the black and white photo in white cardstock and add to the large frame using foam tape.
Add the pink patterned square to the bottom left hand corner of the layout and add the “happy” title to the middle of the square using thin cut pieces of foam squares.
Add some of the ephemera to the layout using foam squares, and cardstock sticker words straight to the layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
