Jingle, Jingle, Winter is here to stay.  Oh my we have had -5F degrees yesterday, and let me tell you that was cold!!!!  It’s suppose to warm up this week, but there is beautiful snow on the ground, so I am happy with a warm fireplace and pretty lights on the tree.  I know, I know, it’s Alaska, but we don’t really get cold weather much…we just let everyone think we do, lol.  Here’s my layout to share with you this week.  The photo is of my little brother 2 years younger than me and the little girl is me.  It’s 1960 in Bremerton, Washington, and we are about 6 and 4.  Check out that purse that I am carrying and that chair that Santa is sitting in.  I actually remember that visit.  Weren’t we adorable?????

I used the “Christmas Cheer” collection by Blue Fern Studio which is their release for 2019.  Just love all the festive, bright colors and retro feeling of the collection.  I used vellum matting from Anna Griffin, die cuts from Simple Stories, and flowers from 49th and Market.  After creating my photo mats I used the Holly and Berry chipboard wreath which I painted with acrylic paint in both dark forest green and red for the berries.

I decided that I wanted to use the chipboard piece Christmas Candles  I painted  the  flames  and  heat  embossed  the  candles.

I also added some little chipboard pieces from the Holly and Berry Set

And last, the title, which is one of many that come in a set of 5 Merry Christmas Titles  I hand rubbed these pieces into a black archival ink pad.  It really works well.

This is such a busy time, but I love creating Christmas layouts with all the fun papers and ephemera!!!  Stay safe, warm, and happy this Holiday Season!!!  More to come for all the Creative Embellishments Design Team.  In the meantime, here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug from me!!!!
