Dana Tatar
My name is Dana Tatar and I currently live in Ohio with my husband and two teenage children. I started paper crafting about 15 years ago and have expanded from scrapbooking since then. I now create a little of everything including cards, tags, mixed media pieces, and small gift and home décor items. I have an eclectic style in terms of what and how I design, which makes chipboard the perfect medium as it works with everything and my changing moods! I frequently find inspiration in music, poetry, and pop culture. When I’m not creating art, I enjoy baking, reading, listening to music, and spending time outside with my family and basset hound Peach. You can find more of my work on my blog, They Call Me Tatar Salad. (

In my spare time, I love to get lost in my craft room creating all different types of art pieces from scrapbooking, canvas, card making, to altered furniture. I pride myself in be able to up-cycle whenever possible. I love working with flowers and creating lots of interesting textures and layers. This is going to be an exciting year!

Maggi Harding

Hi, I am Maggi Harding, and I am really excited to be part of the Creative Embellishments Design Team! My home is in Tennessee, but I claim the world as home. I have spent most of my life wandering, as a child with my parents because my Dad was in the Army, and, as an adult, because I wanted to

My husband and I share our home with our two standard poodles, or spoos as we call them. We love to travel and do so mostly in our RV so that our spoos can accompany us wherever we go. We have been from Key West, Florida to Fairbanks, Alaska and from the Pacific shores of California to the Atlantic shores of North Carolina in our well traveled motor home!

I discovered scrapbooking in 2005 when I decided to make scrapbooks for my two best friends from college. It quickly became my passion and something that I spend hours doing and never grow tired of my efforts.

My style is eclectic, I do a little bit of everything but if pinned down, I would say vintage styled layouts are what I love the most. I love color, and red, black and ivory always bring me joy. For me, scrapbooking is an artistic adventure, what can I create, how can I make this piece of paper come to life? Scrapbooking has awakened my “inner artist” and satisfies the creative side of my brain that was long neglected during my career as a CPA. I am really happy to be a stay at home retired crazy scrapbook lady!

Heather Thompson
Hello, My name is Heather, I am a mother of 2 beautiful young children Olivia and Maksim, who are the inspiration to a lot of my art. I live on a small piece of my own heaven with my husband and the kids.  Along with my gardens, ponds and crafting, I have been a trauma nurse for 20+ years.   I am passionate about my family, my art and my nursing.

When I am not creating in my studio, you can find me outside creating in my gardens.  Alongside my supportive husband Adam (both in the studio and outside) and the kids, we are enjoying time outside either on the water or out in the yard. I often bring my studio out in the gardens to create in my own serene environment.

I have dabbled in arts and crafts throughout my life, and started scrapbooking when my daughter was born in 2008. But I really dove into the depths of crafting and mixed media in 2014 when I discovered textures, dimensions, mixed media and alterable art.

Nadine Carlier

Hello, my name is Nadine. I have been crafting for about 20 years now with scrapbook layouts, handmade cards/tags, mixed media, and altered art projects being my favorite things to create although I have done and loved all things crafty. I would say my style would best be described as eclectic with a mixed media twist. I love getting messy and trying new techniques. Inspiring others is something I love to do by creating videos and sharing how I create my projects. I feel crafting is an art that is supposed to be fun, to learn from others, to inspire others and to share our love of crafting with one another.

Laura Gilhuly

Hi! I am Laura and I am so happy to be returning to Creative
Embellishments as a DT member. I am a stay at home mom to 2 fantastic
and fun loving young men – Cody is 20 and is in his last year of
college and Ty is almost 19 and works as a welder. I am happily
married for 21 years to my best friend and awesome husband, Jon. He is
hardworking, ambitious, determined and loving…I am creative,
enthusiastic, emotional and passionate – together we make a great
team! We own our own transport truck and he is a long haul driver so
during the week, It is me and our boys, our two fur babies and my
scrappy stuff!!!
I started scrapping years ago when my sister took me to a Creative
Memories beginner class and I really enjoyed it, I just wasn’t a
Creative Memories scrapper and soon struck out on my own. I found a
few very helpful and friendly sites on the web and have been trying
new things and learning ever since. I really enjoy trying new things
and creating projects! I create mostly 12×12 layouts but I do really
enjoy creating off the page projects, cards and canvases…anything
where I can ink and paint and play and get my hands messy!
My family is the focus of my life, my inspiration, and my motivation
to scrapbook.

Sandi Clarkson
Hello, everyone! My name is Sandi Clarkson and I am excited to be a Design Team member here at Creative Embellishments. My husband and I live in north central Texas, USA and have 3 grown daughters, all married and blessing us with lots of grandkids. We love living life with our GoldenDoodle Georgie.
In 2006 my sister-in-law introduced me to scrapbooking and it’s been a whirlwind of fun and creativity ever since! Crafting of any sort has intrigued me since I was young, so scrapbooking and mixed media work have become a natural extension of my need to express my ‘inner artist.”  An audiologist by profession, it’s nice to have a right-brain sort of hobby.
My “style” varies but most would call it romantic, shabby chic … usually with some sort of mixed media. At other times, I scrap a little cleaner but almost always, I go for “pretty.” I love lots of layers and am obsessed with mixing texture! The occasional girly grunge also shows up on my art table and I love when that happens.
Hopefully, my work will inspire you and give you some creative ideas about how to use your Creative Embellishments products!
