Hello dear friends!!  I have a sweet layout to share this week of my Sis, Carol Imler and her precious grandson, Myer Jack and his first visit to the Pumpkin Patch.  Carol is an amazing scrapbook artist herself.  Hope you enjoy my creative journey today.

I used the Mintay paper collection “Fall Festival” which is so rich in burgundy, pink, gold and taupe.  It’s so yummy!!!  After placement of my photos I fussy cut flowers, die cut leaves and used the chipboard Fall Leaves Corners  in the left hand corner of the layout.  I had a great time altering this chipboard.  I used a Distressed Stain “Peeled Paint” by Tim Holtz on the outside edges of the leaves and then an acrylic glaze for the inside of the leaves in a bright pink.  Then, I heat embossed the piece with clear embossing powder which turned the colors really dark, so I painted over the embossed centers of the leaves with more bright pink glaze to tone down the shiny look.  I like it better.  It was not easy to photograph.

In the middle of the layout I used the chipboard “Love” from the Happy Word Set I used a rich burgundy stain and added a little metal leaf to embellish it.

Here’s another look at the middle of the layout.

At the bottom right hand side of the layout I used my favorite Autumn chipboards Pumpkins and another one that came from the Pumpkin Sets  The only difference between the 2 pumpkins is that one has leaves attached and the other doesn’t.  I painted the pumpkins with gesso and then hand rubbed them with an aged gold wax.  I used a Moss Green for the leaves.

I really loved using these colors for Autumn.  They are fast becoming an alternative for our normal orange, green, brown, and gold.  That’s all for me this week.  I really enjoyed my visit with you, and until next time, please stay safe, wear your mask, and here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug From the Far North!!!!!

P.S.  It’s 9 degrees F outside right now, so stay warm too!!!
