Sandi Clarkson ~ Soft Side of Sandi

Happy October, y’all! Bed Head or Dryad? Either way, you need a little coffee in your life! Right? Anyway … although I rarely do black and white layouts, this photo was so enchanting to me.  In Greek mythology, Dryads were the Forest Fairies but right now in 2020, this represents all things Bed Head to me and maybe even 2020 in general. It’s been a doozy. Despite all that, I had lots of fun with my chipboard pieces: Leafy Vine Frame Life Happens Coffee Helps Flourish Butterfly Set 2 Typewriter Keys Alphabet Blocks and Alphabet Game Pieces. The great thing about the alphabet sets is that you can create your own custom titles. Now it’s your turn! What will you create for the challenge this month?

Maggi Harding – Scrap, Travel & Bark!

Hi friends!  Fall is setting in and the weather is so delightful!  I’m kicking off the month with some spooky fun with these two cards.  On the first card I used  Tag Set 1Going Batty Stencil, and Halloween Artist Trading Coin to embellish my card.  The second card uses the Walking Skeleton and  Tombstone Shaker.  I used embossing powders on the tombstone shaker and the ATC Coin.  Stop by my blog for all the details.  I hope you’ll enter this month’s challenge with some thing spooky and fun!  It’s time to let your inner child craft!  🙂

Eternal Layout by Tracy McLennon

I had so much fun creating with this October challenge. It definitely gave the excuse to get creepier and darker when putting my layout together.

Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:

Web 6×6 Panel                    Always Word Set               Ornate Half Circle

First I sniped apart my web panel, taking off the square border and making it look more organically natural. Then I snipped the whole piece in half to be used in 2 different areas of the layout.

I covered all of my chipboard pieces in 2 layers of black embossing powder to give an ultra enamelled look. For all of the details on what else I used to create my October challenge layout you can find out HERE.

Hello and happy fall! I had a blast creating for this challenge! I created a Halloween canvas to display in my home. I used Halloween Scene 2 and Corn Stalks Style 2. I sprayed them with Lindy’s mists. I also used a variety of mists on my background. I can’t wait to see what you create with this challenge! Please check out my blog for close ups and a few more details on how I created this: https://lisasscrappyhideaway.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone and welcome to the October Challenge.  Hard to believe it’s October already.  With all we’ve been through this year it amazes me how quickly time flies by.  I knew when I saw the October Challenge that I wanted to create something using the pumpkins in the store.  I just love them.  I’ll admit that I struggled with a black and white project based off the photo, so I opted to add in some color.  I used the following chipboard pieces, Pumpkins,  Pumpkin Vine Flourish,  Ornate Gate 1,  Bats Set and Mini Houses.  All chipboard pieces were embossed with Stampendous Chunky Black Embossing Enamel and then altered with various colors of Finnabair Waxes, Firebird, Brushed Iron, Bronze Age, Lucky Emerald and Green Brocade.  I hope you’ll join us this month.

Hello friends!  Wow!  Can you believe it’s October already!  We have a fun challenge for you this month!   I added a pop of purple with the patterned paper but the black and white was a challenge for me.  It seems like it would be easy but it was harder than it looked.  I’m so glad I played along because it really made me think outside of the box.  For the twist I added Creative Embellishments Wings Shaker.  I added purple sequins in the shaker you can see a close up on my blog.  Hope you come play along with us for this fun challenge!

I LOVE Halloween!  Spooky movies, candy apples, chocolate, little ghosts and goblins!  I created a center piece for my table using pool noodles and LOTS of awesome CE chipboard!  Isn’t that skull awesome!  I also used spiders, mini webs, thorn flourishes, and pumpkin faces

Hello and welcome to October already. Wow were has the year gone. I would like to share my take on the October challenge. The mood board was a mix of goth and shabby. I made a dark shabby chic tag pulling the lace and winged bugs on to the tag. I Started with the base, on of the large tags from the store. After applung a layer of shabby rice paper on the background, I pulled the floaral print out with the Flourish Stencil and some paste. I grabbed a dark old photo and decieded to use that as my focal point. I built it up with the Birds and Spiderweb Flourish boarder. Heat embossing the elements. I added a little flower cluster with more elements pulled from the mood board to pull this murky tag together. Enjoy I look forward to seeing the entries this month. It should be spooktacular. Here is a short Video. Thanks for watching!

The spooky month is upon us.  Time to get out the Halloween home decor – or make new decorations.  I’m Jennifer Snyder sharing my spin on October’s Creative Embellishments Challenge of the Month.  Each month comes with a new vision board and a new twist.
This month, the twist is to add wings.
I added Creative Embellishments – Bat Wings Set 2 painted with a black acrylic paint wash (water mixed with paint).  I also feature  Creative Embellishments – Mini Gears 3 4 Set Of 12 and Creative Embellishments – Steampunk Skulls.
