Hello my friends!!! I hope you had a wonderful week!! I spent mine out in the woods camping with the grandsons. Sure am enjoying this retirement bit and really can get used to it. I am up today with a couple more segments to share of our journey through the Stamperia “Sea World” photo album. Both of my grandsons have decided that they want an album that is just like the other so I will be making 2 just like this. They love all the steampunk, mechanical fish, sea horses, etc. This album is for the oldest, Chase. These pages will be covering his 1st and 2nd grades in elementary school. Where you see black cardstock are locations for pictures or journaling. These items are adhered temporarily until I get the permanent photos in place. So onto page 2 and 3. Once again, I have enhanced the colors so that you can see the details better. Here’s how the pages look side by side.
Page 2 starts with the Steampunk Submarine as an opener with some Tropical Fish swimming across the bottom. All these chipboard pieces were treated with acrylic paint. That submarine is the coolest!! I think you will see him again as we journey through this album.
The top flap opens up to reveal a pocket under where the fish are swimming. That piece opens down to review, well it’s easier to show in a picture.
So remember the black cardstock is where a picture will be placed. On the center panel of this page opposite the seahorse is a picture place holder that is anchored by Distressed Checkered Pieces . On the bottom page that is laying on the table and difficult to see is another picture placeholder that has 2 photo corners that are actually enlarged chipboard pieces of watch or clock parts and these come in the Loose Parts chipboard set. Now this set is filled with all kinds of replicated watch pieces and it’s a pretty economical as well as fun set to have.
Here’s page 3 (2nd grade).
I’m going to share the pictures below of page 3 and list all the chipboard product that I used. This is the inside with all the pages opened.
Behind the pages above are the center panels shown above. These are embellished with the Corner Gear Set which I painted with a yummy metallic acrylic hazelnut paint.
Here’s a closeup.
I am having so much fun trying to embellishing this album. It’s the first one that I am completing from a – z. Which means that I have built it from the chipboard up. My sis, Carol Imler helped me with the cover/jacket, and I built all the pages, glued all the papers down, inked all the edges, etc. It’s a lot of work, but so much fun. Hope you are enjoying me through this journey. Till next time here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug! Have a great week everyone!!!
