Lisa:

Happy June 1st everyone! This month, I was inspired by the colors, lanterns and branch with flowers in the mood board. The flowers reminded me of the Cherry Blossom Branch. I colored it with Lindy’s mists. I used mists on my white cardstock background and used the Ledger Stencil to add modeling paste. I put my photos on tissue paper and then patterned paper. I popped them up with foam and tucked in a Vintage Lantern on each side. I used Lindy’s and Heidi Swapp mists to color them. I did add a bit of modeling paste to them to give some dimension. I colored a few words from the Travel Word Set 1 with Lindy’s mists and added them to my layout. Under the “Destination” and above the left photo, I tucked in a piece of the Lace Border 7. Finally. I added some word phrase stickers and flowers. Maggi Harding – Scrap, Travel & Bark!

Happy June ya’ll!  When I looked at the inspiration photo. I saw a fairy gazing lovingly at her pet dragon so I was inspired to make a Large Tag featuring one of my sweet poodles.  I used Lace Border 2 at the bottom of the tag for the twist.  The Distressed Grid Stencil  added some texture to the base of the tag that is covered with design paper.  Then I added Filigree Corner set 1 at the lower left corner and upper right corner to enhance the photo.  Hope to see your entry in the challenge.

Welcome to the June Challenge, everyone!

This month I was inspired by the sheer fantasy of the Challenge image, so I sat down and created a fun, whimsical background on watercolor paper with my Distress Oxide Sprays. I’ve been enjoying lots of online classes during the past weeks and none more so than Tim’s Saturday Q and As. This card background was one of my results. I’ve used the cake from the  Birthday Cake Set which I’ve altered with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Spray. Next I worked on the banner which is the oh so cute Happy Birthday Banner. This was altered with Cracked Pistachio oxide which turns more blue on a Kraft background or chipboard. The card still seemed lacking pizazz, so I added some 3D stickers from my old stash. They were falling apart but my Beacons 3 in1 glue held them together nicely. As for the lace twist, I am using the cake plate doily which is the base of the Cake chippy. It replicates lace nicely. Anyway, one of my June birthday family members will hopefully be happy to receive this card. For close-ups, please visit my blog. Can’t wait to see how you interpret the challenge this month!

Don’t Forget to Fly – Jessica Larios

Hello there all my fellow crafty beauties! Today I inspire you with a layout. The picture this much is so inspiring! I love the beautiful fairy in her own little world. In this image, I am inspired by the fairy, cherry blossom flowers, and magical vibes that fairies have to offer us all. To create this layout, I used the Fairy Trio Set and altered them using some gold acrylic paint. The moons are from the Moon Fairies Set to which I painted using yellow acrylic paint. This month’s challenge is to add lace so, I added some of my own altered lace and also the Lace Border 3. I altered the lace border with some magical powder and waxes. To add a last bit of flair to my layout I added a purple pin from the Fairy Set. If you’d like to know more about how I made this layout you can visit my blog or YouTube channel for tutorials.

Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:

Tiny Fairies                                    Sparkle Word Set

I covered the “Shine” chipboard using Burnt Copper Leaves embossing powder. Then covered the tiny fairy using a combination of Midnight Magic on the bottom and Pastel Mint, Lavender Sparkle on the wings.

I created a simple layered card background using the Eclectic Charm patterned papers by Blue Fern Studios. Splatter the cream patterned layer using Media Gloss Spray (Eggplant, Night). Then added lace, flowers and gems.

Hi everyone and welcome to the June Challenge.  When I first saw the photo for the challenge my eyes were drawn to the flowering branch and the lantern.  I was inspired to create this over sized tag using lots of chipboard from the store. I used papers from Stamperia’s Oriental Garden .  I started off by covering the tag with black cardstock.  From there I built up layers with the papers and chipboard.  I had so much fun working with the chipboard pieces.  I used two pieces of Cherry Blossom Branch,  Chinese Lantern Set 2,  Japanese Tea Set,  Baby’s Breath and Seaweed.

I used several colors of embossing powders on the chipboard, Melon, Vintage Photo, Seafoam, Seamist, Oatmeal and Aged Ivory.  Here’s a tip when embossing chipboard with intricate designs like the Japanese Tea Set,  I used a q-tip to add the VersaMark to the small flowers, then added embossing powder.  For my close up pictures please visit my blog.  I hope you’ll join us this month!

Hello friends!  June is already here and time for another challenge!  The colors on the photo really drew me in for this challenge!  The twist is to add a piece of lace!  It can’t get anymore perfect for me!  I used several pieces of chipboard on this one and the Lacey Border Chipboard Piece was perfect for this challenge as well as adding a piece of lace under it.

I added the Ornate Square Frame around the photo as well as the Inspire Word Set as a title and the Flourish Butterflies to embellish it.  To alter the chipboard I simply colored them with Plum colored ink and the embossed them with gold Embossing powder around the edges.   For mor close ups you can visit my blog.  Hope you’ll play along with the June Challenge!!!

Welcome to another monthly challenge at Creative Embellishments. This month has a beautiful inspirational photo and a fun twist of using lace. I wanted to do something a little different this month and make some thing pretty and elegant. I started with one panel of the Triptych 3. After a coat of white paint, I decided to do a number of layers with inking inspired by the photo. Starting with the Flourish Stencil 1 and a bold blue, I inked the stencil changing up the stencils between the New Starburst, and the Fairy Dust 2 and mixing up the colours. I felt it needed a little more details and added a little Distress Crackle Stamp to help break it up some. Using the Star Pieces and the Fairy Wings 3 I added some paste and texture using a palette knife. I wanted to get a 3-D effect on the pieces. I finish the piece off with a Relic. I hope you’re inspired by the all the projects this month and the photo. Looking forward to seeing all the entries.
