Hello scrappy friends!!! Another shelter in place week goes by. We are slowly opening up in Alaska, not much but slowly. We are safe, happy, and healthy and hope you are too!!!. Got a special layout to share today of my oldest grandson Chase posing with his hot cocoa sitting around the campfire on a wonderful camping trip. He loves Hot Cocoa and check out those baby blue eyes.
I used the Maja “Denim for Boys” paper collection for this layout and even did some sewing around the edges. I layered some corrugated cardboard behind the new CE chipboard piece Punchinella Circle which I painted silver and then splattered with the colors of the gears that surround it. Love this new chipboard piece. It is quite substantial and makes a wonderful background image with lots of texture for your photos.
I love all the gears and cogs that Nicolle creates at Creative Embellishments. I highly recommend that you check out her Steampunk section of the store. Oh my goodness does it make this grunge loving girl very happy with all the wonderful selections. I chose the Large Gear Set 2 to frame the Punchinella Circle to draw your focus to the colors of the picture. I had such a good time painting and splattering them with colors inspired by the photo.
Here’s what the top of the layout looks like.
And here’s the bottom.
I sure hope that you enjoyed your visit and that you will come back. Here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug and hope that you will stay safe and healthy till next time!!!
