Other Products Used:
Simple Stories- Magical Birthday Collection (6×8 patterned paper pad, bits & pieces, enamel dots)
DecoArt Paint- White
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- Dual Tip Glue Pen, Creative Photo Corners White, E-Z Runner Ultra, Thin 3D Foam Squares
Start by covering the top piece of the shaker kit using white acrylic paint. Let dry. using the bottom piece of the cupcake, trace and cut patterned paper to cover the top “icing” and the bottom of the cupcake in different patterns. Adhere to the chipboard and then begin adding the other layers of the shaker kit using liquid adhesive.
Once all the layers are dry, I added in the sequins mix and then added the top pieces of the shaker kit. Again, wait until the liquid adhesive is dry.
Create the simple layered card background using patterned papers. Adhere them together using White Creative Photo Corners and then adhere to a white cardstock card base. Add the shaker to the card front. I then added enamel dots to the icing part of the shaker and the “Happy Birthday” sentiment to the base of the cupcake using Thin 3D Foam Squares.
The finished piece is one that is sure to brighten anyone’s day for their birthday.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
