Hello dear friends!! I’m back today with a layout that I had so much fun creating. This one features my niece Breanna on her first birthday. My word that little gal was dressed up in the sweetest dress that her momma made for her with the smocked bodice and all. She looks so regal and elegant at this photo shoot, I just had to do the Baroque elegance over-the-top, yummy style of a layout. Hope you enjoy!!
The large vase of flowers in the background behind Breanna and the gold gilded chair that she is hanging on to just screamed for a very formal layout. I started by using the new Blue Fern Studio Paper Collection “Eclectic Charm”. Oh my goodness, this collection is to die for. It reminds me of Italy, and I spent 5 years living in Spain. At the top of the layout I used the Scroll Set 2 , which I painted with an acrylic paint and then splattered with a black ink to give it an antique look. I inserted pearls which I salvaged from a necklace that broke.
In the middle of the scrolls at the top I used a Mini Frame which comes in a set of several. This frame I painted in a white gold acrylic paint. I backed the frame with a piece of ephemera that came with the kit. I planned on handwriting the date of the photo shoot on the banner.
I layered some of the 3 x 5 note cards that come with the collection and used them as photo mats. I also used the Fancy Oval Frame Set and painted the large one in a gold acrylic paint and splattered it with the black ink. I also used little burgundy roses at the top and everywhere around layout that they would work.
Here is another close-up of the flower cluster.
Finally, on the right side of the photo I used a glitzy chipboard piece which I painted in the white gold paint and then rubbed it with antique gold wax. I love this chipboard, it’s called Flourish 14
I need to give a nod to Anna Griffin, as those are her gold Foil Flourishes that are tucked in around the layout.
Thanks again for stopping by and letting me share my latest creation with you. Till next time…….
