What a fun project, and how perfect is this for the montly challenge. Who doesnt like glitter and who doesn’t like daily treat to celebrate the holiday season. I will have to admit this project was tedious and time consuming, but fun. and I actually only used one product from the store, I think that is a first for me. I absolutely the the Christmas Countdown Set. I used some old packaging, I glued 4 of the together and started to cut and measure…….until I had the pockets all covered inside and out. I needed to somehow fit the title on the piece and actually used a skewer, painted it and attached the title like a billboard. I filled the chambers with small candies and money, starting with smaller bills and working up to bigger ones.
I can hardly believe that it is December again already! This month’s Color Challenge is fabulous for doing any type of holiday project. And of course, adding some glitter is a given! I created this fun Christmas Card and Tag Set with papers from my stash, some Creative Embellishments chipboard and paints/glitter from 13 Arts. Products used are Doily Frame Set 2, Jumping Deer, Large Snowflake Set and Christmas Sentiments. Although I’m not usually drawn to creating with silver and gold, I love how this turned out! So, challenging oneself is a good thing. For all the details, please visit my Blog.
Happy December 1st everyone!
I have to admit, when I saw the mood board for this month, I panicked! I am one of those scrappers that love color. Don’t get me wrong, this mood board is gorgeous, but I love color. I started my layout by picking some neutral papers and stickers from my stash. Then I fussy cut the flowers. I knew I wanted to use this photo of my daughter decorating the tree last year because it had the colors from the mood board in it. I also knew I wanted to use the Mesh Tree. I colored the tree with some Lindy’s mists. Then added some Nuvo Glimmer Paste to the circles in the tree to resemble ornaments. I added a Bow to the top of the tree. From there it was a breeze! I used the Falling Stars Stencil and added Liquitex Glass Beads through it. I wasn’t happy with the results, so I put the stencil back on and added the silver Nuvo Glimmer Paste. I added the photo. Finally I tucked in some chipboard from the Poinsettia Set, which I colored with the Lindy’s mists as well, around the flowers . I finished the layout off with some stickers, pearls, punched stars and spatters. I love how this layout came out and I am looking forward to your take on this mood board!
Hello everyone! Gosh can you believe we are in December already! 2019 is almost gone, time sure flies! The mood board for December is a stunner with all it’s glittery sparkly golds and silvers and it’s such a fun challenge to finish off the year! Creative Embellishment”s has some amazing chipboard shaker embellishments that are perfect for Christmas and New Years, if you haven’t played with them yet, you are missing out on some addicting fun! I created these fun shaker cards for this challenge using the Bell Shaker and the Snowflake Shaker.
To alter these chipboard pieces I embossed them with Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. Super sparkly and glittery! I filled the snowflake with white pearl seed beads, Diamond Dust and Snow glitter. The Bells are filled with gold sequins and gold star glitter and gold pearl seed beads. For all the details and close ups you can visit my blog. Hope you will join us in the last challenge of the 2019 year!
I adore the challenge this month! I absolutely LOVE wintertime and a snow covered view. So creating a layout inspired by a beautiful wintery mood board, was just so much fun.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:

When I chose my chipboard and photo to scrapbook, I knew that I wanted the chipboard to have sort of a country winter chic look. I covered all my chipboard pieces using Soft Fallen Snow embossing powder from Emerald Creek Crafts. To achieve that country chic look, I made sure to tap off a little more than just the excess to leave just little bits of the chipboard still showing. The embossing powder happens to have glitter in it, so I didn’t even have to add any extra sparkle to my layout for the challenge.
For all the other details on how I created my layout you can pop on over to my blog HERE.
Hi everyone! Debbie Burns here with my take on the December Challenge. Such a beautiful mood board. Love the colors! I was inspired to created a Christmas canvas. I used several pieces of Creative Embellishments chipboard. I start off by adding some flourishes to the canvas background using a stencil and modeling paste. I then applied some Finnabair Vintage Gold Wax and some silver and gold mists. At the base of the canvas I used a piece from Doily Frame Set 1, which I embossed gold and added some Finnabair White Gold wax. I placed a holiday pick at the center of the canvas which I purchased from my local craft store. I added several pieces from the Poinsettia Set. I embossed the flowers silver and added silver glitter. The sprigs and leaves I embossed gold. The star at the top of the canvas is from Flourish Ornaments, which I covered with silver paint. The title “Sparkle” is from the Sparkle Word Set. I hope you’ll play along with us this month.
Christmas is steeped in tradition! I celebrated the tradition of our boys making sugar cookies with their Pepere every year!
I used the Jumping Reindeer, Spiral Tree, and poinsettia set on my layout inspired by the gorgeous colors and rich tones of the mood board!
