Autumn Pumpkins and You

Kathy Mosher back with you today with a new layout featuring my proudest achievements, my daughter, Jennifer and my son, Patrick.  I just discovered this picture (actually my son just sent it to me) and I love it so much!  We were out camping at the end of the summer and were dip net fishing so it was close to the Fall season.  The coloring of the photo looks so good with the Prima Autumn Sunset Paper collection, I thought it would be perfect for this month’s layout.  I have so much to be Thankful for, and it starts with these two wonderful children.  I am so proud of them.

So after matting the photos I cut the Fall Frame all most in half.  I tucked part of it in between layers of the bottom photo mats and at the top.  I did not want them to look the same.  In case the ends did not get covered in between the mats I placed a flower strategically on top.

I love using circular frames or wreaths in my layouts.  Creative Embellishments has such a beautiful variety, I never get tired of them.  I painted this one with a coppery acrylic paint, added green paint to the berries and sprinkled microbeads everywhere.  I tucked in a few flowers and other little gold beads to add some interest.  Here are some photos.

I love pumpkins and had to add a little pumpkin to the layout since the title is Autumn Pumpkins and You.  CE has great Pumpkins  I especially love the leaves that are attached in this set.  The white touches that you see showing is wax that I used to tone down the paint color that was blaring and too harsh for the layout.  I know it looks like gesso, but it isn’t.  I added some little beads to it as well.

And last I fussy cut a couple butterflies out and added another fancy one that came with the Prima flowers.  So here are some more close ups, but further away.
