Wow! September already?! Where did the summer go? I was inspired by the books in the mood board and decided to use a book cut file along with books from the Book Set 1 and Books. I used mists to color them. I added watercolor to my background and then stamped using brown ink and the Circles Stamp. I am looking forward to see how this mood board inspires you!

Hello all! Welcome to another challenge at Creative Embellishments. And what a challenge it is. I took the inspiration from the specimen bottles and science from the mood board. I added the circles and the patterns to add texture to the background. I used a large tag and can you believe it…no paper. I decided to just add details with chipboard and paint. Starting on the background I used the Bokeh Circle Stencil and crackle paste. After that dried I added another layer right over the top with the Distress Circle Stencil. I layered the Distress Circle Boarder and the Infinity Circle Boarder. But I still felt something was missing and added the large black gears. I did make a little video of the creative process for you.

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the September Challenge.   It’s back to school here in Maryland.  My kids are now grown up, but boy do I remember those days of a new school year.  I was inspired by a few elements from the September mood board, all of the circular items and the planets in the lower right hand corner.  I created this vintage canvas using several pieces of Creative Embellishments chipboard, Distressed Circle Pieces,  Star Pieces,  Nested Rectangles,  Magnifying Glass Goggle Set and Steampunk Artist Trading Cards.  I hope you’ll join us this month.  Can’t wait to see what you create.

Jennifer Snyder here to share my projects for the September challenge.  I interpreted this with a “back to school” theme.  With that, I featured the fabulous new apple shaker design by Creative Embellishments.
I made two cards from one shaker set – with one card using the layers from the set and the second card using the bottom solid base of the shaker set simply painted red and embellished with a bit of gold.  The solid apple shape also has been embellished with one of the fabulous rubber stamps designed by Creative Embellishments, the Grunge Music Note Sheet stamp.

Hi Laura here and I am excited to share my school inspired layout from the wonderful mood board!

This was Ty’s grade 9 photo!  He graduated this year and it seems like Time is flying!

To create this layout I used the Book bag, number panel and Book Set 1!
