Hi Creative Embellishments Friends.  Kathy Mosher here with my Spring time layout to share with you.  That’s me at age 3 at the San Diego Zoo in 1955.  I am wearing my favorite dress that my Grandma made with tons of lace and ruffles.  My brother found this pic in a stack of slides in an old box after my Mom passed away.

I chose the paper collection from Lemoncraft called “Yesterday”, love, love, love it!!!  I used double photos so I could use the Flourish Heart Frame I which comes with 2 pieces, 1 large and 1 medium, which is perfect to frame two different photos on one layout.  I used the Blue Fern Studios “Baby Pink” Embossing Powder, which has a little glitter and texture that you can see from the photos.  I embossed it twice to get good coverage.  Love all the texture.  It really sparkles IRL too!

I also used another paper collection from Stamperia called “Vintage Rose”, and it had lots of lovely tags with gorgeous rose images.  So I fussy cut them out and place them around the photos to continue the garden around the hearts and photo.

I balanced the middle of the layout by using one of the Hearts chipboard that I heat embossed and backed with more Stamperia paper, added the year and some little pearls for accent.

I love Photo Corners, they are so glamorous.  I really wanted to once again balance the outer edges of the layout so I used the Flourish Corner 4  which is so lovely.  Once again I used Blue Fern Studio embossing powder in “Forest Green” twice.  Because it was so shiny and dark I decided to rub them with turquoise wax to tone down the shine.  It worked!!!  I then tucked in some pretty flowers and butterflies to add to the layout.

Here’s some more closeups.

Did I mention that pink is my “signature color”.  I love it so much and don’t get to use it often, so this layout was super fun for me, and a little different style.  Hope you like it.  Happy Spring Everyone!
