Layered Heritage Tag

Welcome back crafty friends!
I have a love of anything “heritage” or “vintage”. I don’t know if it’s the muted tones, the distressing or just looking back at fabulous old photos…but I love it. So today I have a large vintage tag to share. Here are the details on how I created this layered tag.

I thought I would snap a photo of how I cut my chipboard pieces to start. Then I started altering them. I cut off just once section of the lattice piece, and then cut it in half to make sure it would be seen behind my matted photo. I cut the wreath in half also.

Using a foam stencil brush and beige paint, I painted the lattice pieces. Then using the chunky seasoning embossing powder I covered the wreath pieces. I used the same embossing powder to cover the ends of the border word. Then covered the middle with black embossing powder.

Using the same beige paint and a clarity stencil brush, I brushed on some light strokes of paint. Then misted and splattered with brown sprays. I added narrow patterned paper strips to the top and bottom of the tag. Using foam tape I added the lattice pieces, followed by the wreath pieces added using mini glue dots. Another pieces of patterned paper, and a mini doily was added to the middle of the large tag.

I matted the photo in black cardstock and added black photo corners. Then added the matted photo to the middle of the tag using 3D foam. The border word is added directly to the photo using mini glue dots. Then I simply added a couple of flowers and buttons to embellish.
