Hello CE friends! It’s been ages since I created anything crafty and written a blog post. I have been mostly in manufacturing mode. I do miss being creative.
I didn’t want to feel too overwhelmed so I did something a bit simple. I created an A5 shaker planner dashboard. I am a lover of fantasy type characters fairies, unicorns and dragons etc.
I created a fairy double sided shaker page. I started with watercolor paper and created a couple different backgrounds. I am not really all that good at watercolors but I really want to get better at it so I must just dive right in. The one side is more pastel colors. I started with using lindys stamp gang mists and added them to the background using a paint brush. I used a purple and pink color theme. I then added some fairy dust with heavy gesso using our stencil. I altered the fairy with pink art glitter. I created the pocket myself using laminate. I search youtube for my inspiration.
I apologize for the not so great photo it was dark when I completed the shaker.
The other side I used more vivid pinks and purples for the background and used our flourish stencil 1 for more details. The fairy was altered using gesso first and light pink art glitter. I sealed the top of the shaker with 2 layers of packing tape and then covered that with washi tape.
It was pretty simple but lots of fun to create.
