Hello Dear Friends!!!

I am so excited to be sharing my first layout for the Creative Embellishments Design Team.  Have to pinch myself when I think about being on the team.

My first layout is based on this month’s challenge sketch, I figured you are never too late to have fun!  This is a photo of my high school band in Rota, Spain, which was a US Navy Base.  That’s me on the far left with the clarinet and my younger brother in the center with the drumsticks.  I can’t believe that this picture is 50 years old.  We spent 5 years in Spain and had so much fun!

The challenge deals with color blocking, which was easy to do with this Bo Bunny paper collection.  And, of course, the 4th of July and the element that I used were the swirls, and were a part of the fun.

I started the layout using the CE chipboard frame Music Note #1 to surround the photo.  I used an acrylic paint from Lumiere, and then added some micro beads.  Love the effect.

I also used lots of glitter to outline some of the background layers, stars and flowers.  Just love me some glitter. I also added flag flair from the CE store.

And, another close up just for fun!

You always see a marching band in a parade on the 4th of July, so I thought this photo would be a fun one to share.  Sure hope that you enjoyed my layout and will check back for more design inspiration.  That’s all for me…..
