Hello from the Far North!!
It’s Kathy Mosher stopping by to share my latest layout using the incredible Creative Embellishments chipboard. The layout features my gorgeous niece, Breanna, enjoying the beach in Florida. Her sister Dani is a photographer and was doing a photo shoot of Bre. Dani is the owner of Ronny and Dani Photography Studio located in Portland, Oregon. She is one of my many beautiful nieces.
For this layout I wanted to use a frame for the photo that would have a light, wavy look to it, and sure enough CE came through for me with this gorgeous calligraphic frame. I used Liquid Pearls “Peacock” as my treatment.
What beach layout would be complete without using some coral designs? I just loved CE’s little coral chipboard pieces. I had fun treating this chipboard by starting with Tim Holtz’s Distress Paint in “Picket Fence”. Once the first coat dried I had all these wonderful cracks that really looked like coral, but the pieces seemed to fade into the flower clusters. So, I rubbed, with my finger, little hints of Art Alchemy Paint (Orange). The coral looked much better, but a little too bright, so I rubbed some gesso on top, and voila, perfect. I did lose a lot of the cracks, but the color looked much better.
It was easy to build some seashells, 49th and Market flowers, art stones, and other goodies into the clusters surrounding the photo with all my lovely chipboard as my anchors.
I really hope that you like it! Be sure to stop back for more inspiration from our Design Team, they are so talented!!!!
