July – Dec. 2018 DESIGN TEAM
Sandi ClarksonHello, everyone! My name is Sandi Clarkson and I'm excited to be a Design Team
member here at Creative Embellishments. My husband and I live in north central
Texas, USA and have 3 grown daughters, all married and blessing us with lots of
In 2006 my sister-in-law introduced me to scrapbooking and it’s been a whirlwind
of fun and creativity ever since! Crafting of any sort has intrigued me since I was
young, so scrapbooking and mixed media work have become a natural extension of
my need to express my ‘inner artist.” An audiologist by profession, it’s nice to
have a right-brain sort of hobby.
My “style” varies but most would call it romantic, shabby chic … usually with
some sort of mixed media. At other times, I scrap a little cleaner but almost
always, I go for “pretty.” I love lots of layers and am obsessed with mixing texture!
The occasional girly grunge also shows up on my art table and I love when that
Hopefully my work will inspire you and give you some creative ideas about how to
use your Creative Embellishments products!
Hi! I am Debbie and I am so excited to be joining Creative Embellishments!
I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Wyoming! I’m married, a mother of 3, grandmother of 8 and my family is usually a focus on my projects. I have 2 Chocolate labs, Mojo and Rage, both named after musical bands or songs. They own a big piece of my heart and you will be seeing them on some of my projects.
My style varies as I let the product dictate the finished project. I love mixed media on my projects however the past year I have been working with dies, stamps, stencils, acrylic and chipboard mini albums. I love I’m an amateur photographer with a press pass so I take lots of photos. I love landscape photos, and living in Wyoming I’m able to satisfy my love for that. I mat and frame my own photos for my home and for gifts. My passion is Art and it doesn’t matter what genre. I oil paint and make beaded jewelry. I sew, and make my own home decor . I’ve been crafting since I was 5 when my mother taught me to embroider and crochet.
My style is anything goes, meaning I do everything! Scrapbooking, is my first love but closely following is cards, stamping, chipboard, die cuts, mixed media, vintage altered art and decor.
I’m Kathy Mosher and have lived in the Great State of Alaska since 1971 (I did move to Denver for a year and then high-tailed it back North lol)! I am a US Navy brat, so I moved around a lot when I was younger. I can proudly say that I have been to every State in the US and lived in Rota, Spain for 5 years. I met the man of my dreams in Juneau, Alaska and have been in love ever since. This year it will be our 46th Anniversary…can’t imagine being with anyone else. I have 2 grown children, Jennifer and Patrick, who both live in Anchorage. I also have 2 grandsons Chase and Cameron. My family is the focus of most of my work. I have an eclectic style, both grungy and shabby, depends on my photo, and I enjoy creating using both concepts. I have been into scrapbooking off and on since 2003. It’s a great passion of mine. I am also a professional seamstress, quilter, and an instructor for both. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing Design Team and want to thank Nicolle for choosing me to share her fabulous products with you.
My name is Dana Tatar and I am a scrapbook and mixed media artist who currently lives in Ohio with my husband and two daughters. I was a biochemist before I decided to stay home full-time with my children and my analytical mind is always present when I’m crafting. I have had many hobbies over the years, but art is the one that really gives me satisfaction. I started my adventure in art with scrapbooking as strictly a memory keeping hobby, but have grown to love the creative outlet that art provides. I’m greatly inspired by song lyrics, quotes from my favorite authors, and pop culture references. Often times I’ll hear or read a verse that I relate to and immediately want to run to my studio to create. I’m a huge introvert, so my artwork is a way to share a small piece of myself with others. I enjoy creating paper crafts, mixed media art, and DIY projects in an eclectic style. You can find my work on my blog,They Call Me Tatar Salad.
I am a long-time scrapper, having begun to scrap in 1998. During the past 7 years, however, my hobby has become an obsession! For me, scrapbooking is therapeutic and I enjoy preserving memories in such a beautiful way. I live in Albuquerque, NM with my husband and two year old boy, who is the focus of my layouts as of late! I can’t wait to share my design team projects with you.
My name is Marilyn Rivera and I’m from Puerto Rico but I’m living in North Carolina with my lovely family now. I’m a Fashion Designer although the last 3 1/2 years I’m a SAHM. I’ve been scrapbooking for 9 years, it’s my passion and nowadays it has become more than a hobby, I love to share my knowledge and techniques in my classes and in my video tutorials. I’m a Mixed Media artist with a Shabby-Chic feminine style. In my work you will see some techniques that I use for my dressmaking combined with paints, mediums, lace, pearls and lot of textures! You can see more of my work in my blog…HERE and my YouTube channel HERE. I’m honored to join the Creative Embellishments Design Team and to share with you my passion for this hobby in the next months.
When I am not creating in my studio, you can find me outside creating in my gardens. Along side my supportive husband Adam (both in the studio and outside) and the kids, we are enjoying time outside either on the water or out in the yard. I often bring my studio out in the gardens to create in my own serene environment.
I have dabbled in arts and crafts through out my life, and started scrapbooking when my daughter was born in 2008. But I really dove into the depths of crafting and mixed media in 2014 when I discovered textures, dimensions, mixed media and alterable art.
I am a papercrafter living in NY. I live with my husband, my cats, and my many boxes of crafting supplies. Papercrafting is my beloved creative outlet after a day at work. I have a full time job outside the house analyzing natural gas and electricity so it’s easy to understand why I love paper crafting so much. It’s such a wonderful way to relax and free my mind from the workday stresses and complexities. I am overjoyed to be part of the Creative Embellishments team and I look forward to this new year.
Hello! My name is Marci and I live in New Jersey, USA with my husband George. We
have 3 children between us, all grown and gone, as well as 2 adorable little grandsons who
end up being about 90% of my scrapbook pages!
I work just very part time now in a job I have held for 35 years. In addition, I babysit
the grandsons once a week and volunteer at the local college teaching a card making class
for a 50+ program. I love scrapbooking everyday moments and making and trading artist
trading cards all over the world! Thanks for stopping in at CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS!
My name is Nanné and I live in Finland, where we relocated to 20 years ago from the USA, with my husband Mike and our three children.. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, but paper crafts has definitely become a way of life for me for the last 6 years.. I’ve met some amazing people and made a lot of friends through this wonderful hobby..I am excited to be part of the CE design team and hope I can inspire you to get crafty.
My name is Sarah Routledge and I live in Ontario, Canada. I started scrapbooking several years ago, and was immediately addicted and soon moved into other forms of papercrafting. I absolutely love the creative process of putting together a scrapbook page, tag, or off-the-page project. I love trying different materials and new techniques – especially mixed media. I would call by style vintage, shabby chic – but I love trying different things, so I’m not afraid to step outside my comfort zone! Although most of my work is layouts or altered items, I love using my scrapbooking supplies for other crafty projects, including canvases, art journalling, tags, ATCs, mini-albums, home/seasonal decor, etc. If you’d like to see my designs, please stop by my blog: Scattered Pictures and Memories.
My name is Shona Keehn and I am from British Columbia, Canada. I have 3 children, lots of grand babies and a wonderful husband of 29 years.I have been scrapping for many years but have just found my scrappy style in the last couple of years, Shabby Chic with a bit of grunge, and it is definitely something that I change up lots as I am always trying new techniques. OH yes and I am definitely addicted, there is just something about getting my hands all dirty during a project. I am thrilled to be part of the Creative Embellishment team! I get so much inspiration from everyone in the scrapping world and I hope that you can get some from me.
I am a SAHM of 5 wonderfully active and creative kids who inspire me every day…when they’re not driving me insane. I love everything to do with paper crafting and enjoy creating tags, cards, layouts, altered art and mixed media projects. I’m an eclectic scrapper and I vary styles regularly since I love everything from CAS to grungy and distressed. Some of my favorite manufacturers are Webster’s Pages, Prima, October Afternoon, Graphic 45, Bo Bunny, MME…the list could go on! lol
My name is Nicolle Kramer (part owner of CE) and I have been scrapbooking for around 10 yrs. I am a stay at home mom of 4 children. I have 2 boy ages 24,23 and 2 girls as well ages 20 and 14. My hubby Michael (other owner) . of 25 yrs is extremely supportive of my hobby. We both love the arts. I enjoy creating layouts using many different styles of scrapping. The internet is where I look for inspiration through sketches, color challenges and browsing some really talented ladies blogs. I find it fun to learn new techniques and follow trends. I’d like to think I am an ever evolving scrapper who loves using bright bold colors, textures and lots of embellishments to enhance the story being told on my page in a unique and creative way that keeps the viewer continually discovering new details every time they see one of my pieces. I also love to alter different mediums and create tags. I also make the occasional card. I love everything paper or paper related.
