I would like to warmly welcome Jennifer Snyder to our Design Team.
I am a papercrafter living in NY. I live with my husband, my cats, and my many boxes of crafting supplies. Papercrafting is my beloved creative outlet after a day at work. I have a full time job outside the house analyzing natural gas and electricity so it’s easy to understand why I love paper crafting so much. It’s such a wonderful way to relax and free my mind from the workday stresses and complexities. I am overjoyed to be part of the Creative Embellishments team and I look forward to this new year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is Marci here with an example for the 1st Challenge of 2018! I was inspired by the Cheer and Sparkle and thought about a fresh snowfall, so I did this WINTER themed POCKETLETTER. I used A LOT of Creative Embellishments wonderful products as follows: ATC sized tag: I covered each of the 3 tags in white gesso, ran them through the embossing machine with a snowflake embossing folder, added Silver Stickles and embellished the remainder of the tag. Snowflake Stamp: I stamped the lower left card pocket using white ink. Snowflake Banner: I cut a piece and placed it on the lower left card and then added Bling to the centers. Large Snowflake set: I left them natural for a “pop” and placed them UL, UR and LR. WINTER Flair buttons: in the center is “Winter” and Lower left: Let it Snow; they add so much dimension and are just fun to use! I hope you can join us this month!
Happy New Year! I can’t believe it is 2018. I am excited to continue designing for Creative Embellishments, and I was inspired by their January challenge picture to use a champagne-colored background for this layout. I also used glittery flourishes, two Small Flourishes, and the word “Embrace” from the Moments Word Set. I painted my chipboard pieces a matte black.
Welcome to 2018. This page has a photo of our family celebration at Thanksgiving. We all had a great time visiting, eating and catching up on all the goings on. My page uses a sketch from Sketches in Thyme. For the twist I added the bead border for glitter and shine along with glossy accent title and stickles on the flowers and leaves. For accents I used Creative Embellishment Chipboards: arrow frame, Flourish set 10, Family Time, and I stamped the background with Distressed Crackle stamp and added Seasons Change Flair button in the floral cluster.
Did someone say glitter? I’m in! I decided to make a New Year’s Day card with a vintage feel to it and lots of glitters for this challenge. I used an ATC tag (from the ATC Tags Set 3), which I slightly inked with brown ink, on my background. I also attached a Birdhouse on top of the ATC tag. The birdhouse was softly painted with grey paint. Finally, I added a few Snowflakes as well, which I decorated with glitter glue.
Happy New Year! 2018 already. Seems crazy, doesn’t it? Jennifer Snyder here to welcome the start of a very creative year…Creative Embellishment style. I’m proud and thrilled to join the team this year. Yippee! I’ve taken this opportunity to create a winter wonderland mixed media piece using the Snowflake Frame 2 and Creative Embellishments – Large Snowflake Set. May your year be filled with joy, health and Creative Embellishments chipboard!
Hi Everyone and Happy New Year! I made a layout for the challenge…twist is glitter , and I used glass glitter on all of the chippys! I used the Snowy Tree, Snowflake Frame and Snowflakes, pieces from the Christmas Sentiments pack and some background stamping with the Grunge Snowflake Stamp. FUN!!! Have fun playing along and I can not wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!
Maggi HardingHappy New Year! Wow, 2018 already?? Time IS an illusion, it just flies by but we don’t see it or feel it. One day it is January 1st and before you know it the year has flown by and it is December! Well enough of that, I made a Large Tag. I love these tags, they are the perfect size, and for me they are like an art journal, something to play with and try different techniques. Here I’ve used gold molding paste with our Metal Stencil on the background. I used rusting pastes on the Gear Cluster Set 2 and then added Stickles for lots of sparkle. The sentiment is displayed on a Washi Tape Cluster that I colored with Prima waxes. On the right side I glammed up a Grunge Star Corner with glitter paste. Of course no project for me is complete without some flowers so I’ve used Pine Cone Clusters underneath some brown burlap roses. The pine cones are painted with Lindy’s mists and then the pinecones were lightly rubbed with Prima Mettallique Wax in Vintage Gold. I hope your new year is happy, healthy, prosperous, and crafty!
I made these tags just for some fun, playing around with some glitter and gold. 2 things I don’t normally use, so I just played and made them my own. I started out with some texture to the background using the Grunge Star Stamp and decoupaging tissue paper with confetti in it. I also added some texture with the Galaxy Stencil and sprinkled some gold glitter on it. I added gold foil to the Snow Pretty Word Set and then made a small flower cluster topping then off with the Shine Flair. Here’s the video of the creative process, Enjoy the New Year and we look forward to seeing your creations.
We look forward to seeing what you create. Please enter by adding your link to the comments section on our Facebook page HERE for a chance to win a $50.00 to the store.
