Hi everyone! Marilyn here with you today.  I made this Shabby Chic Journal cover for my daughter. I painted in blue and pink colors that are her favorites. Let take a look…

I applied gesso to the Out of the World frame then I painted with white acrylic paint and let it dry. Meanwhile I covered the journal with a Studio 75 paper. I adhered pieces of cheesecloth to add textures on the cover.

The adorable bird cage is from the Bird Cage 4 piece set  and I gave the same treatment done on the frame, I applied a coat of gesso and then I painted with the white acrylic paint.  Once I made the design with my chipboards,  I added flowers, pearls, art stones and gave them a coat of gesso and adhered all the pieces with gel medium. After everything was dry I gave color to the pieces with Color Blooms in pink, blue, yellow and white colors.

Finally, I adhered a trimming to the spine of the journal.
