Now onto the Mother’s Day inspiration!!
Hi there cyberworld, Maggi here!  I’m so excited that Creative Embellishments is hopping with one of my favorite companies this week and that’s Petaloo flowers and we’re celebrating one of the most special persons around, Moms!
This is my Mom, it’s an old photo from 1993, you can tell bythose big glasses she’s wearing!  I used a Circle Vine Frame place the emphasis on my photo.  Then I surrounded Mom with beautiful Petaloo Darjeeling blooms.  The large ones are anemones.  These are some of my favorites!  I’ve also use some blue rosettes and dahlias.
To make my flowers really stand out and give them an air of realism I’ve tucked in pieces of fern from our Fern Foliage 2 set.  I just dabbled a bit of Lindy’s Gator Gumbo olive on them for color.
Across the bottom I used Lace Border 1 and topped that with more Petaloo blooms. I heat embossed this and all the other chippy pieces with Stampendous Aged Ivory embossing enamel.  I love its vintage look with the flecks of gold in it.
Creative Embellishments has a great Mother Word Set and I used the word Mom from that set.  She is my super Mom that’s for sure.  My Dad was in the Army and Mom was often left at home with 3 children while Dad was out of the country, sometimes for a year at the time.

Hi everyone..Shona here and welcome to the Creative Embellishments / Petaloo cross promotion! For the hop I have created a set of cards. I picked universal sentiments on my cards which makes them perfect for moms or just as a little gift for someone special!

Each card is created with my favourite CE distressed texts tamp in the background! Each card also has a gorgeous Heart Flourish Frame on it…I finished these chippys with a coat of gesso, some Shimmerz mist and more dabs of gesso. Beautiful Pataloo Darjeeling Rosettes and Dahlias were perfect to frame the chippy frames!

To finish it all off I added a flair from the Fly Away Flair Set and a Petaloo mini butterfly!
