Hi crafty friends… I’m here to share a special tribute piece this month simply entitled “Peace”. Something we definitely need more of. I’d like to dedicate this layout to the victims and families to those involved in the brutal shootings of San Bernardino last week, just a few miles from my house. IMG_1727

The photo was taken one early morning at the beach at sunrise and as I sat there I thought how pure and peaceful my surroundings were. I couldn’t resists photographing the morning waking up. IMG_1717

I first used my Distressed Text Stamp and other stamps for background interest. I applied Art Extravagance Texture Paste White Sand to my page and while wet added my  sea shells, starfish, German glass glitter & fishnet. Allowed to dry completely. Next up… alter my chipboard pieces utilizing embossing powders, gesso, hot glue and distressed stains. IMG_1728

For the GLOBE I used assorted embossing powders from Lindy’s. I then took my WINGS and applied hot glue to the tops of the wings for texture, allowed to dry, and then painted them with white gesso. Once dry I then added some pretty bronze patina’d embossing powder to the top of the hot glue. My title is from LOVE JOY PEACE word set and it was embossed with black powder. IMG_1720

Wishing you a joyous Christmas season and a life filled with “Peace”.
