Hi everyone! I decided to make some gift tags and I was inspired by the snowflakes on the inspiration photo. I used the fun Grunge Snowflake stamp in the background and added some snow paste to the cute Snowflake Chippys to finish them off. This is about the only type of snow I like…chippy and stamp ones hehe. Happy December everyone and hope to see you play along with us!

Hi CE fans! I started my layout with the colors and the snowflakes from the inspirational image. I painted my snowflakes frame with a shimmer teal paint and I put a bit of heavy white gesso over it. On the berries branch I gave the same treatment but I added a bit of snowflake paste from Prima to have a snowy look.  On my title Bright from the shine word set, I put first white gesso and then I embossed it with a pink powder from Lindy’s stamp gang. To complete my layout I finally added a wood leave from the wood veneer fall leaves kit.

Hello Friends, i was  inspired by the image to use blues and whites and being snowflakes was part of the challenge i used the chipboard snowflakes  by first inking them with embossing ink and then heat embossing with white embossing powder.  I tucked them in among the hand molded poinsettias.  I also used the Moroccan Panel, heat set with gold, and the Oval Frame was also done the same way.  The title Merry Christmas  was also inked with embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder. With all the gold on the chipboard i felt by using the same gold embossing powder on my hand molded poinsettias and the white embossed berries, set the card off nicely.

Merry Christmas everyone… hope you are busy getting glitter all over everything. This month’s inspiration photo has so much to offer. I was inspired by the colors, the fairy, the trees, the snow…well everything…lol  Today my mixed media canvas features some beautiful chippies from our store. First off the title is simply “White Christmas” embossed with Winter White powder. My fairy was painted white and then embossed with Stardust which is a translucent.  The beautiful snowflakes come in a pack of 33 so you can have enough for several projects. I used assorted Lindys embossing powders and then embossed them with Stardust. To view a step x step tutorial and list of other products utilized check out my Snapguide tutorial HERE.

Dec challenge

It’s my favorite time of the year!  Not only because of  the Christmas holidays, but I also love the colder weather and you know what, I even love snow!  Back in 2010 we had a white Christmas and that almost never happens here in eastern NC where I live.  It started snowing Christmas night and accumulated to 12″ of snow!  WOW that was a shocker.  Nika and Chena loved running and playing in all that snow.  Nika was a little frightened at first, she was not yet a year old and she came from Florida!

I ws inspired by the snowy scene of the inspiration photo so I had to create this wintery scene starring my sweet Nika!  I’ve used Creative Embellishments Snowflake Borders,  Snow Word SetPine Cone Clusters, and Chipboard Snowflakes.  I painted the title and the snowflakes with white paint and after that dried, I stickled all over with Icicle Stickles.   I colored the pine cones  with a little Lindy’s Mission Bells Brown and the pine needles with Lindy’s Frost Forest Green and Ponderosa Pines Olive.  Then I dry brushed on some white paint to make them look snowy.   I also dry brushed the Petaloo flowers that top the pine cone clusters.  Finally I used lots of Stickles in Icicle and Crystal  to give everything a snowy sparkly look.  Be sure to stop by my blog to see details of this layout.

FullSizeRender (86)Hey Everyone ,

Although I dont like winter too much, but when snow falls , it just feel magical. It looks as everything is covered in glitter. Just loved the moodboard picture of this month. the soft colors, fairies , snow flakes all are so magical.

My card is inspired by the colors and snow flakes.  CE snowflakes are perfect for any winter project. I heat embossed then and then added some glitter on it. Also used fern foliage , added thick layer of white gesso, then added some white embossing powder and glitter.

Hope you will play with this months challenge and give us the chance to see your amazing work. Have fun.

P1110933Hello scrap friends ! It’s December !! Almost Christmas !! 😀 For this challenge, I wanted to go out of my comfort zone by using a black page. I was inspired by the wood for the trees.  I had fun to colorize Santa’s Sleigh with acrylic paint and I added a glossy accent to give of the shine. I stuck chipboard Snowflakes that I embossed with a white powder embossing. I also embossed in white Ho! Ho! Ho! Title. I used Deed Heads‘s head behind the photo that I painted with gold acrylic paint and I added Pine cone clusters where I embossed that branches. I cant wait to see what everyone creates for this super fun challenge !!

Hello Friends! I was inspired by many elements from the photo, the snow, colors, fairies, and trees. I always have a difficult time photographing when blue/purple and in the color pallet. The top is a dark blue and the lighter colors is actually a purple. :/ I altered the snowflakes, Snowflake Frame 3, falling snowflakes, Family border word set and curly flourish all in the same manner. I started with a heavy gesso, then sprayed with snowblower spray snow and ended with some krylon glitter blast. The pine trees and tall trees were altered starting with a black base and then added Aleene’s glitter snow. I added a piece of fairy flair to follow the theme.
