Hi everyone… well this is my favorite time of the year and I’m here to inspire you with a Christmas layout. Creative Embellishments has so many beautiful Christmas chippies to enhance your projects and I have a few here to share with you. First to prepare the background I stamped and then heat embossed my “Sweater Square” by Stampendous randomly on the page and distressed all the edges of the papers. I love to layer my pages because it adds depth as well as interest.
Around my photo I used “Garland With Bow”. First I added Golden Stucco Paste for some texture then painted it deep green and once dry I swiped over it with Walnut Stain DI to tone down the green. I wanted the holly berries to be larger than the dew drops used on the Christmas tree so I used my glue gun to make dots on my craft mat. Once dry I also colored them with alcohol ink in Red Pepper.
I used the Flourish Tree #2 and painted it white then added crystal Stickles to the top. For the bulbs on the tree I used dew drops in different sizes and colored them with alcohol inks to match my layout. For the date at the bottom I used Ideaology Numbers…painted them with black gesso allowed to dry then used a sanding block lightly just to scratch up the surface .
Last but not least I harvested some pine cones from outside.. broke them apart and created flowers for my layout. Added SnowTex to the top, then sprinkled Diamond Dust for some shimmer. I got this great idea from SaCrafters you can view her tutorial here.
Hope you will take time to go through the store and view all the beautiful products just waiting to be used on your projects. Warm wishes this Christmas season….xoxo Toni
