hello! hello !hello !
I have lost the track of date and time these days. Looks like I am facing midlife crisis at @ post 40. hahahha . Suddenly the body and mind seems to not agreeing with each other. The other day , I forgot my friend’s husband name , when introducing him to someone. Its embarrassing ,isint it.
Anyways, being from India, and trying to keep up with traditions, I made this banner or toran ( as known in India) for Diwali ( festival of lights ). Tried various angles, but no picture was good enough to do the justice.now this is show off. hahhah
This banner is made on six pieces of recycled card board, lots of CE chippies, lace, dry wall tape , paper flowers etc
Now some close ups.
,
These all pieces are different but similar.
I have used CE keys, CE butterflies ,Mini Harlequin panel,Squared lattice panel , Mini frames. Each chippy was covered with black decoart gesso , then drybrushed with decoart metallic gold, and then layers of dry brush of pearl powder from Ranger and then final touch from white gesso to highlight the embellishments.
Hope you will like it. took me 2 days to make it. but I was happy with the result.
Thanks for stopping by. Dont forget to play with our monthly challenge. we love to see your work and get inspired.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Your banner is very beautiful! I love how you made it!!
