Happy Holidays! Tara here today sharing my altered gift box, great for any Christmas present, card or gift card! I started with a 5×7 kraft gift box that I purchased at Joann’s last season. I layered on a few different pieces of Christmas paper, distressing all the edges with my TH tool. Between some of the layers I added in burlap fabric to give more texture and dimension.
Next I added in many die cut leaves to the left side using the same Christmas paper, and curling the ends with a thin paint brush. I glued down little red berries from a spray, along the leaf cluster as well. I also made a 3 layered bow from one of my favorites dies and then adhered a burlap bow from recollections. I coated my CE chipboard snowflakes and mint candy shapes from the HO! HO! HO! set with white gesso and white distress stain to give it that wintery snow effect.
I then added in the HO HO from the HO! HO! HO! set, again coating it with white gesso and white spray. Lastly sprinkling my red and white sprays over the entire gift box to tie everything together. I hope you all enjoyed this project. Have a Happy Holiday! Eat lots! Enjoy your family and Friends! And most of all Happy CRAFTING!
