Hi Crafty Peeps! Tara here with you today, sharing my mixed media altered photo album. I bought a brown $1 photo album a few months back from a yard sale and decided to finally spiff it up.
First I coated the entire album with white gesso, dabbing it on with a round sponge dabber, leaving some of the original brown color peeking through. Next, I used the Distressed Brick Stamp and the Distressed Script Stamp with black ink to create some texture to my background. Then I used pink, black and gold glimmer mist sprays to add some color to the album.
Next I painted the 3 inch Large Clock Face with white gesso and sprinkled it with the same glimmer mist sprays. I added in some medical gauze for dimension, a white resin Prima clock(that I colored with gold spray), metal clock hands(with black pearl in center), and lots of Prima flowers and vines. I also used small yellow flower blooms from WOC to fill the holes in my flower cluster. I went over all these embellishments with white gesso and my gold, pink and black glimmer mists.
Lastly I added my title for this photo album, the word ” Driven” from the Journey Word Set. I painted the word with black gesso and sprayed it with the same above sprays. Hope you all enjoy this project!
