Hi everyone, Tara here! I’m sharing my mixed media glass bottle with you today. This project was inspired by Elena Morgun from the Finnabair Creative Team. I had this bottle in my stash for awhile and finally had an image in my mind as what to do with it. I apologize for not taking a before photo, it slipped my mind. (the bottle was a green see through-ish type color to start)

First, I brushed the entire bottle with white gesso, leaving some of the green visible. I did the same thing with black gesso, trying to get into the grooves to emphasis the depth. I repeated this process a few times until I was happy with the results. Then I thickly coated some of the areas with clear crackle paste (this requires a lot of dry time, using a heat tool tends to lessen the amount of crackle). After the crackle paste was completely dry, I went in with my Glimmer Mist Sprays. Standing the bottle up, I dabbed my sprays downward, leaving a dripping  effect. I then used some modeling paste, swiping it with my finger in an up and down motion to add some raised texture.

Now I added all my embellishments. Starting with my chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments, the Door Knobs and the 3 inch Clock Face. I added modeling paste to both pieces and dripped all the different color sprays on them as well. I also added some Prima Flowers, Metal Pipe Frame, a Bottle Cap, a small metal Charm, Home Street Sign and some fabric gauze. I repeated the same process for these items.

I hope you all enjoyed this altered bottle. Be sure to check out our monthly challenge found right here on the CE Blog.  Also, run over to the Creative Embellishments Store to check out all the new products!
