Hi guy! So this is my first ever blog post for the Creative Embellishments design team & I couldn’t be more excited! I created a mixed media altered art pallet using the 7 in art pallet. First, I created my background with a variety of Tim Holtz tissue tapes.
Next, I used my pallet knife to apply a thin coat of gesso. I also used texture paste with a stencil in a chicken wire pattern. Then i went to town with my glimmer mist sprays in, black, navy, gray, gold and white, splattering everything! Giving it a very messy look. After completely drying, I used black permanent ink to stamp the honey comb image.
Then I adhered all my embellishments, distress chicken wire border, paint brush, flowers, bits of doily and denim, burlap and lace leaves, cheesecloth, pieces of a resin frame, black string, Starbucks cardboard, mini light bulb, clear bead sprays and a wooden clock. I went over all the embellishments with the same sprays and some gesso.
Lastly, I painted my title, Unique from the unique words set with gold metallic paint. I hope you enjoy this project. I had so much fun creating it. Make sure you play along in the monthly challenges to win some incredible prizes!
