CE_MARCH_CHALLENGE (1)I was inspired by all the colors – as might be obvious! Me and my daughters are so anxiously waiting for spring, I wanted to make a layout of it. There is a tiny play with words in my title: Spring it on! 😉 I added the Butterfly Flourish on my layout, I altered it with embossing powders, making an ombre effect with them. Have a happy March – and welcome to join our challenge!

Hi everyone! For this months challenge I created a layout inspired by the flourishes and leaves in the photo. Reminds me of Spring and I love this warm photo of me and my daughter and grandson…reminds me of sun and spring weather. I have used a Flourish from Flourish Set 17, one of the NEW gorgeous hearts from the Distressed Heart Set and my title is from the Happy Word Set. I hope you all join along and play with us this month!

This month I decided to create a canvas. I was inspired by the butterflies in the picture above and I used flourish 24 for the twist. I even used a stencil with flourishes on it for the background.  I altered the Hot Air balloons, steampunk hot air balloon and gears all the same.  I first applied a pearl turquoise paint lumiere by jaquard to all the pieces. I make sure that the paint gets into the engraved crevices. I then dry brushed black paint over making sure not to get into the engraved parts.I wanted to make sure the detailed areas popped. The steampunk hot air balloon I added a darker turquoise paint and some white as well.  The birds were altered using black paint as a base and added a bit of blue to them.  Flourish 24 was altered using gesso and a little pearl turquoise paint. I altered the flourish photo/page corner set 2 the same. The title piece spread your wings was altered using gesso and some Silks acrylic glaze in apricot nectar color.

March is always a special time of year because  Spring starts, St. Patrick’s Day and my son’s birthday make it a time for celebration. So naturally I was inspired by the Irish elements.   Over in the store  I found these sweet clover clumps to use as my flourishes which I inked green and them stamped on top.  There is also a large selection of words sets in the store.  I inked my word a warm orange as a contrast to the green. I also inked my butterfly orange.  I hope you will join in on the fun with this month’s challenge!   Don’t forget your green this St. Paddy’s Day!

I was inspired by the butterflies, flowers, and colors in this month’s challenge photo.  I used Pink Paislee’s Butterfly Garden Paper for this tag.  I embossed with white snow embossing paper using the distressed script stamp along the top of the pink paper.  I created a pocket over the top using chipboard and more pattern paper from the collection.  I fussy cut a couple of butterflies, added flowers, pearls, and trim.  On the bottom I added leaves from the autumn leaves set that I embossed in moss.  I snipped off the end of a flourish dragonfly so it would look more like a butterfly and embossed in worn lipstick distress powder.

I love Spring! It is my favorite season of the year because where I live it is always a cold, snowy winter and Spring is everything new. I was inspired by the flowers, the color green and the butterflies so I created a cutesy layout of these cuties having their Easter photo shoot with a bunny.  For my layout, I added a chipboard Ivy Frame (for the flourish component of the challenge) and painted it with three different shades of green sponging the darkest green randomly on the ivy.  I also added a chipboard Grass Border and painted it with distress paint in two shades of green. The chipboard title “Spring Love” was painted  a light blue and then I painted the bottom half  in a dark blue to give it a gradient effect. The wood veneer Butterflies were inked with distress inks and then I dipped the top of a small paintbrush and dabbed acrylic paints to create dots on the butterflies.  I would love to see you join the March challenge! Happy Spring!

Hi all! I used the yellow/gold tones in the inspo pic and added a butterfly as well. I chose to use the Flourish Frame 2 and cover it with black gesso. It also fits the challenge twist! I used the same treatment on the title “My Girl”.  The back ground is also stamped using the YUMMY CE stamps. I used the Distress chicken wire and the Distress script stamps. Nothing can be lucker than playing with CE and gold! 🙂 Also Using the Flying Unicorn Your Passion Your Art KOM. Hope to see you all playing along with us!!!

I was inspired by the beautiful flowers and butterflies and decided to create  a journal to record my thoughts!  I used the Distressed Checkered Stamp on my background as well as the Brick Panel Chipboard piece which was misted with black spray!
