Hi all! Maria here today sharing with you a layout of my darling daughter at Disney. It’s not your traditional Disney themed page though. Disney held (and i believe extended to the end of the year) a special event called Frozen in Summertime based off of the movie Frozen. They had special parades featuring the characters from the movie, sing-a-longs, ice skating and my daughters favorite…Playing in the snow!! … Where we live, we don’t see snow. I’m 28 years old and have never seen snow, so this is probably about as close to the real thing as we’re going to get for awhile (if ever).

I used the Snow Flake Frame and the wood veneer snowflakes on this page.. I started out by painting them all white. Then i took white embossing powder and mixed it with glitter, used some versamark embossing ink and embossed them with a heat gun. For the backround i used the Distressed Crackle stamp with Black Soot distress ink. I then used a credit card to smear some blue acrylic paint behind where my frame would go. Once that dried i used some Lindys Stamp Gang Magicals, i mixed Cafe’ Au Lait with some modeling paste and with a palette knife smeared it over a stencil. For the border around the page, i cut off about a 1/2″ off each side. Then I took a Tim Holtz distressing tool to distress and rough up the edges all the way around the blue grid paper. I mixed some Liquitex Basics Coarse Texture Gel with some white acrylic paint and layered it on the edges. I layered it pretty thick, the look i was going for was snow. I also smeared some around and near my frame. I embellished with some flowers, added my title and journaling. And last but not least i adhered the blue grid to a distressed gray Capture Life sheet of paper.

Please stop back by on Nov 26th when i share with you a pocket page created to go alongside this layout.
