Happy Tuesday CE Friends! Nicolle here today sharing a layout. My daughters went to the House of Horrors on Friday and managed to get me a pic of them standing by some zombies. The girls had a blast walking through the 6 haunted houses. The last one was even a fun interactive house where they played a little paintball with some walkers.
I started by applying a little vivid scarlet ayeeda paint by 13arts onto our grunge icicle stamp. I was trying to achieve a drippy wall of blood for my background.
For the graveyard skull border I applied viva 3d-stamp paint in white with my finger.I then inked the edges with a little black ink. For a cracked appearance. I applied maya gold in grey to our crackle stamp and applied to the skulls. Lastly I added a little vivid scarlet paint around the edges and onto the skulls to keep with the theme of my layout. The top part of the coffin was altered over a gesso base by simply swiping tim holtz distress paint in vintage photo. I then swiped a very juicy black ink pad over that to create an aged look to the coffin. I painted the cross using maya gold grey paint. The ghost was altered using maya gold in grey, white 3d paint and distressed green stickles.
The chandelier was altered using maya gold gray paint, vivid scarlet, yellow prima chalk edger and white 3d stamp paint. The web look was added using our crackle stamp. The zombie was altered using modeling paste applied with fingers for the base. I then added distress paint in moss green. To make him look a bit dirty and worn I added a bit of brown to the zombie using faber castell bit artist pen and then lightly inked all over him using a black ink pad. The last added touch was the blood which I used vivid scarlet paint.
The fence was alterd using maya gold in grey and stamping the web image using the crackle stamp and white 3d paint. I created an ombre effect on the halloween hash tags. I used rusty hinge distress paint and then applied silks over that in the apricot color. For the bottom half I used vivid scarlet paint. Lastly I inked around the edge with a black ink pad.
