Happy Monday friends! Hope your weekend was full of amazing memories. Nicolle here today sharing a layout of my duaghter Jolie. Recently my mother in law took her to one of her favorite stores…Spirit Halloween. She took a few pics of JoJo and I had to scrap this one. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. So much fun fun fun dressing up. I like the darkness of the holiday.
I started with stamping our distressed crackle (using a grey faber castell artist pen) and moroccan (tim holtz forest moss distressed paint) images on the background. I used a stamp( 3rd one pictured) from our paint splat trio and stamped using red acrylic paint.
I altered the fancy oval frame first applying modeling paste with my finger. Then I applied tim holtz brushed pewter stain and lightly swiped a black in pad across so the texture would pop. The spider web corner was simply altered with gesso and a little black ink. I altered the cut apart moroccan panel simply applying prima chalk edger inker in coal.
The hand from the montser mash set was altered with modeling paste, tim holtz forest moss and mowed lawn distress paints. Lastly I swiped a bit of black ink over to make the texture a bit more visible. The corn stalk was altered with modeling paste( i simply spread the paste for an uneven look) , tim holtz distress paint in frayed burlap and prima chalk edger in coltsfoot stemens. I then swiped a dark brown ink pad over.
The pumpkin flourish I applied modeling to everything but the pumpkins. I then colored the vine using a faber castell pitt pen in dark green, tim holtz mowed lawn on the leaves. For the pumpkins I used various prima chalk edgers in oranges and browns. The stem I used a brown pitt artist pen. The pumpkin face pumpkins were altered using faber castell pitt artist pens. The jolly jack-o-lanterns were altered with modeling paste and prima chalk edgers. The zombie was altered the same as the hand. The wood veneer leaves were altered using prima chalk edgers.
Thanks for stopping by our blog. Have a terrific Monday!
