Happy hump day !! Nicolle here today sharing a layout I created.  My sister took a pic of us at her birthday party last month.  It’s hard to believe we have been together for 24 yrs and married for 21. Mike often gets asked how we make it work? Compromise!! We work at it.  True love and dedication. ….:)

I have to admit I am not really happy with the way it turned out. I do not know what it is with me and light colors.  Maybe just an off day. I started with a white piece of card stock  and used a flame stencil to create the background. The flames are pretty much covered but  I used a rose bud chalk  ink, pink distress ink and apricot nectar silks for the flame work. I then stamped a few heart images using the distressed heart stamp and black soot stain.  I also stamped the distressed music note image behind the photo.  At the top left of the page I inked the grunge heart trio stamp and stamped 2 heart images.  The flower I simply just applied white acrylic paint with a sponge.

The love knot border I simply heat embossed with glitter embossing powder. The sweetheart title  piece I applied gesso first then apricot nectar silks glaze. To match the girl sticker I then added dots to the piece to match.

I applied a little apricot nectar glaze to the conversation heart as well.  The chipboard hearts were heat embossed with a pink embossing powder. I often look to a sketch for inspiration to spark my mojo. I used a sketchabilities sketch #112.  Doris is up on the blog tomorrow so be sure to come back and see what she creates for us. I will have another project on Friday for you. See you then.
