TGIF!!! It’s been a busy week and the weekend looks even more busy. We plan to bake our cookies and do the last of our x-mas shopping. Our kids are grown so it’s really easy to shop for them or give them money. Yes it’s a bit boring but that’s what they would rather have. It’s perfect really they can get whatever their heart desires. The holidays have been a tough time since my dad passed away in January 2012. He actually went into the hospital on Christmas Day 2011 to never come back out. It was the hardest week for my sister and I. Of course the rest of the family his brothers and sister’s, my kiddo’s and his friends. My kid’s have never been to hospital to see anyone ill and they are 20,19,17 and 10. At the time 2 years younger but it was hard to see my dad, their gramps like that . He was hooked up to all kinds of machines ….on life support. Anyway that is why the holidays for me just aren’t all that great. It’s hard to fake happy. 🙁

Today I am sharing Day 11 in my December Daily. Yepper I am a bit behind. I honestly didnt think it would be that hard to juggle everything on my plate. I have to try to manage my time better.  Day 11 we finally here in Buffalo got some snow and it actually stuck. It snowed on and off for 4 days straight. The accumulation was only about 10 inches but I was just happy there was some fluffy white stuff. I am not sure that it will stick around because Sunday it’s supposed to be 50 degrees  and rainy. I love snow and I hope Christmas will at least be a white one.

I created this background with one of our new snowflake rubber stamps. The first layer I put some gesso on my stamp and stamped away. I then used some Tim Holtz distress ink and stamped around again. I applied ink on the branch and window as well. The window should be added to the store on the weekend. I altered the winter wonderland chipboard and ornament with pewter distress stain. I then applied modeling paste half hazard onto the title piece as snow. I applied modeling paste to the snow women and colored her hat in with a Faber Castell big pen. The snowflakes also have modeling paste on them.
