Happy Monday Friends! Nicolle here on the blog today… It’s labor day holiday and we are enjoying a long weekend. Those of you who aren’t celebrating the holiday I hope your Monday is going well.
Today and I am sharing a layout I created inspired by a picture of my daughter and her boyfriend. The picture was taken at the Erie Basin Marina. We live about 10 minutes away from the very eastern tip of Lake Erie. They have a lot of fun things to do in that part of the city of Buffalo. Kayla got a chance to tour a couple Navy War ships and a submarine. They really enjoyed themselves. I thought the Creative Embellishments Nautical themed chipboard was a perfect way to embellish this layout.
I used 4 chippies from the nautical collection. I altered the compass by just applying some of Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Stain in Pewter color. I distressed the Nautical wood star with acrylic blue metallic paint.
To follow the colors of this layout I also painted the life preserver the same metallic blue and added blue and white bakers twine.
How cute is this lighthouse? I painted this lighthouse in a horizontal fashion with blue metallic and white acrylic paints. I applied black paint to the little light at the top.
Be sure to check the store for these super cute nautical pieces. >>HERE<<
