Hello crafty friends! Tracy here and today I have a little home decor project to share. I created this project using one of our wedding photos. We were married on the beach by this beautiful lighthouse, so I customized this wood veneer lighthouse to look like it. Here are all of the details.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:
Other Products Used:
DecoArt Paint- White, Black
49 & Market- Flowers and Die Cuts
Cardstock- Black, White
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- Crafty Foam Tape, Adhesive Dots Medium, E-Z Runner Ultra, 3D Foam Squares
First I grabbed my white and black paints. I covered the Flourish Border with black paint using a foam stencil brush. I love how the border looks like waves when flipped upside down.
Now for the wood veneer lighthouse, I wanted it to look close to what our lighthouse looked like. So I covered it in white and black paint. Again using a foam stencil brush. Once both pieces were dry, I adhered them together slightly off from centre.
Next I matted photo small cropped photo in black and then white cardstock. and adhered it to the decor piece using foam tape for lots of dimension. I then began adding die cut pieces and flowers around the matted photo. The final touch was to add the small sentiment strip near the top of the lighthouse using foam squares.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
