Hey everyone!
I am SO ready for some warmer weather. This week we had rain, snow and 70 degree sunshine. lol Just a normal spring week around these parts, but I’m ready for the sun.
So of course I have a fun spring layout to share today.
I pulled out some flower, bird and scroll chipboard pieces and grabbed the gel crayons from Vicki Boutin that I just got. I had so much fun trying the crayons out on the chipboard!
The scrolls are from the Flourish 5 piece set, I used the darker blue and purple, colored the chipboard and then used my finger to blend them together and smooth them into the chipboard. Anywhere I felt like need a heavier coating, I just added a bit more crayon and went at it again with my finger.
For the flower piece I actually used the Leaves Cluster. I think they make for a pretty cute flower piece.
I used orange and yellow and green for the stem. Be careful when you rub the crayon in because the leaves/petals pull up and move around easily.
Lastly we have the birds. There are 10 different birds in the set so you have lots of options for what you want to add to your layout. After I picked the ones I wanted I did a little yellow crayon on the feet and then layered colors onto each bird to give each a bit of life. I really like they way they turned out.
