I hope you are all enjoying a bit more sunshine lately.
We just got back from spring break and it was such a fun little family trip for us. We really enjoyed the extra sun and relaxation time.
My layout today is showcasing a photo from a spring break trip a few years ago.
I swear I took so many pictures of my kids running from or sticking parts of their bodies into dinosaurs. lol They were all hamming it up.
I think my favorite part here might be the title work with the pterodactyl picking up the ‘N’ from the title ‘Run!’. Both the pterodactyl and the velociraptor are from the Dinosaur chipboard pack.
Here you can see the detail work on the pterodactyl. I used green ink to give the edges some definition. I also used the Stars wood veneer in clusters around my layout. You can really see the dimension of the stars in my photo.
This last closeup really shows the inking I did around the edge of the dinosaur. It really defines the piece against the background and helps bring it to life.
I finished up by handwriting my journaling on the background page.
The background patterned paper was super cool, so it was fun to use it as a journaling guide.
