Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a pretty little layout to share with a wheat border that was a labour of love haha. Here are all of the details.
I really wanted to match the Wheat Border to the beautiful photo as closely as I could. SO I won’t lie….it was a process. I used a combination of embossing powders and embossing enamels to get my desired colours and texture. Layering embossing mediums creates texture and speckling.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:

Large Wheat Border 2
Other Products Used:
Kaisercraft Paper
Ranger- Embossing Pad
Distress Embossing Enamel- Fossilized Amber, Antique Linen
Embossing Powder- Ivory, Bronze, Leaf Green

Cardstock- White
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- Crafty Foam Tape, DODZ- Large, Adhesive Dots Micro, E-Z Runner Ultra
First I matted photo photo in white cardstock, and distressed the edges. Create 2 larger layered mats for the photo from patterned paper. Distress the edges of these as well and adhere to the background patterned paper. Add the finished wheat border to the layout using 3D DODZ Adhesive Dots.
I covered the Precious title using an embossing pad and ivory embossing powder, then covered that with the Fossilized Amber embossing enamel. I added it to the bottom right hand corner of the layout.
I added a tag and burlap string bow above the matted photo and above and below the photo as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
